Not Good with Communicating

Female public defender with blonde hair who represented my husband in his case is truly horrible please don’t use her find another public defender or pay for a lawyer yourself. She called my husband by another defendant’s name and began to discuss the other defendant until my husband stopped her and corrected her. Throughout the whole process she was never prepared always saying I don’t know, I’m not sure, I haven’t spoken to them about that can I have a few minutes, sending someone from court the day of court to get paperwork for her client. She has no idea what she is doing and for the sake of your family member or yourself please do your research. I wish I had done mine.

0 stars. Horrible experience. I cal numerous times and leave messages. No one has gotten back to me. My husband spoke to whomever reviewed his case and was told I need to go speak to someone at the office but no one answers their phone. I finally get some free time to go in person and the fat piece of lard at the front desk gave me nothing but trouble and attitude. 0 stars once again. Got no help. Nothing but a headache and trauma because as soon as I left the office a dog got hit by a lifted jeep.

From the beginning of the phone call till the end was a piss, poor attitude. I’ve worked in a law office myself before and that is no level of professionalism whatsoever. I honestly almost stepped out of my character, speaking with the gentleman that answered the phone. It really irks me when people know you need them and they treat you any type of way they want to. I am so disappointed that I have to say all of this about a black man because I am a black woman. But professionalism is professionalism, black, white, Puerto Rican, or Haitian learn professionalism!!!

Absolutely no help, very unprofessional. Can't get in touch with anyone. This has been a real eye opener for me & how corrupt the justice system truly is here in Chatham County. I feel so bad for anyone unfortunate enough to ever have a run in with the law here & not be wealthy or white. SMH

The office itself is very unprofessional they don’t deliver messages to the public defenders, the assistant’s be out for days how do you expect for someone to get in contact with their lawyer when you can’t never speak with them..

I called my sons Public Defender yesterday and spoke with his assistant who then let me leave a VM on his phone. Then I read the reviews for this office. I did not see any good reviews so I immediately began to pray. Mr. Michael Kelly returned my call in less than 24 hrs. To help me understand whats going on with my sons case. I left this review because I know that Public Defenders often get a bad wrap but my experience was positive. Thank you again Mr. Michael Kelly for your service.
