Approximately 3 years ago my son was facing legal issues and I reached out to Attorney Lovett Bennett to guide us through the process. I nor any of my family had ever had the need for legal representation, but I had always respected Attorney Bennett. Not only had I followed Attorney Bennett's professional success, but I was also inspired by his service to Bulloch County as he was recognized in 2016 with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Attorney Bennett led us through the legal process, which included multiple court appearances in two counties, a lot of work on weekends, nights and holidays. Not only was Attorney Bennett always there, but so was his office staff. After 3 years in the courts, which resulted in a very successful outcome, I can't imagine going through the process without God, Attorney Lovett Bennett and his office staff.

I was pointed in the direction of Lovett from a colleague. I was very nervous about my case and would call him periodically before my trial. I never received a call back until days before when I had to be back in Statesboro which didn't make super comfortable/confident going into my court date. Months later I had asked for his help again with the current case and I was told "Good Luck! I do not feel sorry for you at all and you face the consequences" Im not sure if it was because I am city guy, his ability to actually work this case, or if he was already happy he received my payment. In conclusion I was able to find an attorney from Atlanta who did an outstanding job and took care of my case with zero worries.

On the advice of a friend who is an attorney but who does not have a criminal practice, I retained Mr. Bennett after hours to assist a young student who had been arrested. As my friend had suggested, Mr. Bennett immediately came to our assistance, knew exactly what to do and was able to resolve the situation for the benefit of the student. HIs fees were very fair even though he obviously dropped what we was doing to help. I would recommend him to anyone who needs legal assistance and representation with a matter that involves possible criminal liability.

Mr. Bennett went above and beyond my expectations for my case. He worked on my case diligently and was nothing but honest and straight forward with me about every aspect of the trial. I find his Christian faith and integrity makes him to be one of the best lawyers in this region. I would recommend him to anyone who has found themselves in a bad situation.

From a traffic ticket all the way up to something really serious, Mr. Bennett is the only lawyer I would call. He has been doing this for many years and knows just who to call and how to handle everything. Everybody around in the courts knows and likes him. His rate was very fair -- if anything, too little for all the follow up calls he made to make sure everything got closed out and taken care of. The best!!

I paid almost $10k to Lovett Bennett to represent me on two BS misdemeanor charges and traffic violations that I expected to disappear due to the lack of evidence. I recieved a letter notifying me of my court date less than two weeks before the day. So I contacted Mr. Bennett immediately. His secretary said she would call me back to schedule an appointment and never did. I tried to reach him again and even went by his office. I finally recieved an email Sunday two days before court to schedule a meeting Monday afternoon. Monday afternoon I was given very little information regarding a plea deal. On Tuesday, about an hour before court, I was given a little more information on the plea deal. After the court proceedings began, I was finally given the full plea deal and only after I requested to see the exact deal I was offered. I was then basically forced to sign a plea deal giving me 2 months jail time, 1 year probation, 1 year license suspension with no school/work permit, 200 hours of community service and $2000 in fines. From my personal experience I would not recommend Lovett Bennett to anyone for representation. I spent entirely too much money and feel like I could have recieved the same outcome from a public defender and maybe even self representation. I feel as though he took my money and then forced me to plead out so he wouldn't have to spend any more time on my case. I spoke to multiple other criminal defense attorneys who all believed that my punishment was extremely harsh and that keeping me in the dark and giving me almost zero time to make my decision was a tactic for Mr. Bennett to force me to take the deal. My advice would be to choose your attorney wisely. You may potentially pay a lot of money for basically no service.

I have referred multiple clients to Mr. Bennett over the past 5 years. If you are charged with a DUI or any criminal offense in the Statesboro area, you definitely want Lovett Bennett on your side.
