Mr. Abernathy is very knowledgeable of the law and is highly respected, not only by other Lawyers, Judges, and clients but by Law Enforcement as well.”

Lack of communication with clients
“It was and still is an act of congress to get him or anyone to return calls, texts, emails. I had to do the majority of the work. Never until the last day did he even have contact with the defendant.”

Alleged to make deals without client's best interest in mind
“He will take your money and run like the other reviews say. I should have done my homework. And when it's time to close the case he will strike a loo sided deal with the prosecutors to benefit him and not allow you to speak.”

Accused of abandoning clients after receiving payment
“As far as I know he never even listened to the interrogation tape until the morning of the trial which was to late then to try to defend it. From the time we hired him until the case went to trial (which it never really made it to trial) was 1 year and 4 months during which time he did nothing.”
