This man is an absolute disgrace and a scammer. I hired him in 2020. He never answered never communicated. His paralegal Charles was the only point on contact. They got so tired of me asking for updates on my case they just stopped responding all together. I haven’t heard anything from them since the beginning of 2021 not even to tell me the results of my case or if it even ended. Fast forward to March 2024 I just received a call from the court regarding my case saying I missed a court date from 2 years ago. Do not waste your money or time on this man!! Totally unprofessional him and his team are crooks! If I could give negative stars I would.

I placed a synopsis on Lawyer.com for an apartment sewage overflow case. Within hours "Charles" from Hand & Hand Law firm solicited my business by text. I had made it clear in my comments that I was looking for contingency-based representation. In fact, on a follow up phone conversation, I asked Charles about the fee structure, and was told it was "the standard" after-settlement percentage.
A week later I went for a consultation at their offices in Suwanee.
My "Spidey Alarm" sensed trouble at the outset.
1) The attorney arrived late.
2) The attorney never introduced himself (Even the guy that changes my car's motor oil has the professionalism to shake my hand and tell me his name!)
3) The (anonymous) attorney's "office" was not filled with shelves of law books as one would expect, but was a disheveled small room that gave the suggestion of someone in the process of hurriedly moving in (or moving out?)
The consultation seemed to go fine, with the (still unnamed) attorney commenting: "This case is far more interesting than I was expecting". I had presented a mass of photographic evidence, damning emails, and a very winnable case. As I stood to leave, I remarked: "We've been talking all this time, and I still don't even know your name." He answered "Kerry". Not even a last name!
For the next 12 days of my life, "Kerry" and Hand & Hand Law effectively held me "hostage" -- by that, I mean: Never, ever, ever responding to one simple question I asked by phone on a daily basis: "Are you intending to represent me?"
Many times no one would answer, and the phone would go to voice mail. When someone would pick up the phone (it was always Charles) his greeting was "Law firm..." Not "Hand & Hand Law Firm"... Not "the SL Firm"... Just "Law firm"... As anonymous a moniker that one could come up with -- giving the impression that anonymity was the preferred atmosphere with these guys.
Worse, on four different occasions -- when I managed to succeed in speaking with Charles, he ASSURED me that someone would "get back to you" later that day concerning my case.
No one ever did.
On the twelfth day of this company-induced-limbo, someone named "Dwight" finally responded by text: "I just talked to Kerry and he advised me that he would take the case but couldn't do it as a contingency case."
There it was: The old BAIT-&-SWITCH tactic. This law firm had solicited my business on the grounds we would proceed with payment-upon-settlement. It was a VERY GOOD case. I even had a former Apartment Property Manager willing to testify in my behalf, if necessary. I had files of incriminating documents...
Bottom Line: As the facts above demonstrate, this law firm (whatever their actual name is) is the antithesis of professional.
Unlike my friend Emil at the mechanic's garage, I would not let Kerry Eston Hand change my vehicle's oil!
