I have been blessed for the past 25 years to have known such a wonderful human being. Adrienne is sensitive, insightful, and compassionate about what she does for a living. Two months ago, I received a letter from the CSEA saying I owed in excess of $30K dollars in back alimony from almost 10 years ago. The alimony in fact ceased via court order in 2006, this was a major snafu at the agency. I was shocked and scared to death. I contacted some other Honolulu law firms, and they all wanted large retainers and were jumping to quick assumptions and wanting to start litigating immediately without knowing the facts. Adrienne was the last attorney I contacted and she immediately suspected this was an Agency snafu, I trusted my gut feeling that she was the one to work my case and asked her to represent me. She did not ask for a retainer up front, instead, she said not to worry about the money; instead she wished to evaluate & determine the exact problem, estimate the potential fees and work it from there. After a couple of weeks the problem was identified and has been corrected. Adrienne was thorough, aggressive, fair, honest. Lastly, I live on the mainland and this case was worked totally over the phone with blind trust that I hired the right person. I would recommend her (KingandKing) to anyone that is looking for honest, solid representation and wishes to avoid being gouged and taken advantage of by unscrupulous lawyers. I wish they had represented me during my divorce years back.
