We were needing help with a legal guardianship and she was responsive, compassionate, thorough in her explanations of the steps, and patient with my lack of understanding with the legal system. Moana, her assistant, was attentive, professional and timely with every request. I enjoyed my experience with this firm. They were cooperative and very communicative, facilitating my divorce, and eventual, reconciliation. If the need should arise, I would absolutely go back to this firm. More specifically, hire Mrs. Hackett again.

Attitude problems… wants money but doesn’t want to provide correct and proper representation for you the only thing one star is for their polite assistant / receptionist girls also i don’t how the other lawyers in firm are but mine specifically I regret! She screwed me over when I really needed legal help in my paternity case…

I hired Coates, Frey, Tanimoto, and Gibson for a Child Support proceeding and have regretted the decision ever since. Tom Tanimoto was more concerned with handing the opposing party what they wanted than fighting for a fathers rights. His lack of communication is painful. I am now cleaning up the messes he made and doing a better job In my opinion, this is a less than average law firm. IF YOU ARE A FATHER, I strongly suggest finding a different firm to defend you.

I found them to be weak at representation and it was also strange that they were not giving me advice on the divorce decree parameters, like they wanted to avoid me later saying that they mislead me. I am an attorney but not a divorce attorney so I really needed advice or at least some discussion. My divorce was a long time ago, so maybe this aspect of their practice has evolved; or maybe not.

Poor customer service after initial gain and no initiative. They weren't rude to me but very passive aggressive. For the last few weeks I've been calling once, twice or three times a week for the same reason, a status update: "Have my documents been mailed to the address that I provided you?" Everytime I call same story. They ask me to spell my name and they ask for my phone number so that they can contact me. I provide this information but no one calls. Why? I'm your client, I thought. So now I have to do their job again and call the courts to get paperwork that they should be sending to me. I say again because they had me go to the court house to file the docs myself. I'm not In the states so it only makes things harder. I truly regret working with these people. I payed all my fees with them in advance so no issue there. I'm not a rude or disagreeable person so no issue there. I just don't get it.

Bob Young is in my experience inept. Couldn’t get the corner stone of the case added into evidence. His grasp of and arguments for the case were weak. He should retire.

Very knowledgeable and professional. Yes, they are expensive but not any more expensive than other firms at their level. Unfortunately my case went to court and I was informed of the charges well in advance. My attorney did try to avoid court and save me the expense but it was unavoidable.

I had the pleasure of working with Attorney Justin Tsai on a cross-jurisdictional issue and I was thoroughly impressed with how quickly and diligently he worked with me in handling this matter. He advocated zealously for his client and achieved a successful outcome. Thank you Justin for all of your hard work!

I too have had experienced the same type of poor quality from this firm. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS FOR YOUR DIVORCE. They don't take in factor your thoughts and feelings to take you where YOU want to go; at a reasonable price. They will pro long process and rack up the bill. It was my 1st divorce so I wasn't prepared/knowledgeable and they took every advantage of my case. I wanted to change lawyers at a point but was so in to the case and wanted it over with, so I just rolled with the punches and 12 years later I realize how bad they were.
