Horrible. Save your time and money. Look for another Law firm. They are horrible. I asked to speak to Mr. Turbin and the Paralegal said he is too busy to talk with me. So I asked if I could talk with her, and she said she is too busy to talk with me. That is a red flag from the start. They never even reviewed our case but they said that they did. How can they review 1,300 pages of medical records in 2 days. Horrible. I am glad to go to another Attorney that makes time for their clients. And I didn't even ask to talk with you about talking with 1,300 pages. It was only 4 pages tops of notes. So you knew the meret of the case. How would you know what I wanted to talk about or how many pages I had. You didn't even make time for me. You and your Paralegal said you don't have time for me even before I said how many pages I had or said anything else. You said I'm not credible... I have the entire conversation between myself and your office staff recorded. It shows your sketchy. And I didn't even demand nothing. I asked if I could please make an appointment to talk with an attorney. And they said your too busy. Then I asked if i could please schedule with the Paralegal and she said she is too busy and can't talk with me. I just had some questions. But it shows your character. You lying and making up stories and you don't make time for your clients. I have everything recorded. So I have the proof. But then again it shows you and your staffs character. It is what it is. There are better attorneys out there that truly care and take the time to help their clients.

I have hired this firm on two separate incidents. The first incident, not knowing how the process works, I called a few different firms to get different opinions. One firm seen on tv referred me elsewhere which I did not follow, called Turbin Chu and Heidt to set up an appointment, and the third ghosted me on my appointment confirmation. Once I agreed to their representation I gave them all the information I could give them and they were able to obtain the information I did not have or know about. Throughout the process I was able to focus on my rehabilitation, I kept in touch through email, office visits (pre-covid), and phone calls. In the end I was able to get the treatment I needed and "all parties" were able to resolve this case quickly. I also received some advice that I took that helped my next situation Second incident (post-covid), I would be SOL if I did not follow the advice received from the first incident. Long story short, uninsured/underinsured motorists can get away with a lot, leave you SOL, and stuck with the bills. I called this firm again, rinsed and repeated the process. I really appreciate the work that this firm has done for me. Intelligent, experienced, communicated well (goes both ways), and very down to earth when in regular people conversation.

My wife had been hit by a car on the crosswalk as soon as we arrived in Hawaii for our honeymoon. TLDR: It’s interesting that one of the other reviewers stated that Moani is a “tremendously capable attorney” and has challenges like all attorneys do. But not all lawyers also get their license suspended. There’s a reason for her numerous poor reviews on Google and Yelp. Her suspension was due to multiple complaints of misconduct. Moani is easy to talk to. She’s personable, educated and knowledgeable. But regardless of how “capable” she is, her frequent disappearances had negatively affected so many other personal aspects of my life that I regret seeking her services in the first place. - To elaborate, I know that the majority of people complain about the length of time it takes for them to receive a response from any attorney. But there had been numerous occasions where Moani and her staff wouldn’t answer my calls or emails for consecutive months at a time. Being out of state, there was no way for me to visit her office and there had been moments where I began questioning if she were even alive. I wish I were being dramatic, but if you hadn’t heard from someone for 3 months after you invested thousands of dollars (with retainer refills), you might start panicking too. Those were probably some of the most difficult months of my life. Not only was I enduring a seemingly never ending legal issue due to her unresponsiveness, the only person that could help me made herself unavailable. Until she randomly reappeared with a completely new team after I ironically threatened to file a complaint against her to the board. Most recently, I called and sent emails for months on end - again - asking that she confirm when my next hearing was to resolve/find progress with the remainder of my case. After calling the county clerk myself and receiving confirmation, it was the judge that stated that the reason nobody else attended the hearing was because my own attorney failed to communicate that her license had been suspended and the other party was not properly served. Her failure to communicate this was a literal requirement that she “must notify existing clients of her inability to act as an attorney.” She can’t even follow this bare minimum order by the Hawai’i Supreme Court to notify her clients of this pretty serious update.

Words can't describe my enormous gratitude to Turbin Chu Heidt Attorneys at Law. I was involved in pedestrian x car accident and had to go through 5 plus years of surgeries and hospitalizations, not to mention life long emotional and physical changes.
