A number of years ago I sought out legal help from Cain and Herren. My last experience with a lawyer wasn’t good. I really didn’t want to file for bankruptcy, but I had to as I was going to retire. I owed a lot mostly from the bad times of 2008. I always pay my bills so I was really fighting doing this. Micheal Collins made me feel much more at ease with my decision. Everything was explained to me. Everyone at Cain and Herren were welcoming. If I need legal help for anything I would return to Cain and Herren.

My friend just used them in a divorce. Every interaction was positive and she was very happy with their services. I will be hiring them if I need a lawyer in the future.

One of the best law firms on Maui. They not only go above and beyond for the clients but for their employees as well. Ben and Sam are a power duo who help so many dealing with family law issues. Highly recommend!!!

I had a small legal issue and lots of money to pay him , he didn't even saw me face to face ,I went to his office ,I never saw him ,he just told I assume his secretary and he just pretty much told me to get the f out of there. Not to long ago ,I called cause I needed an attorney with a HEART , same thing , never saw his face and with no explanation ,i felt kicked out of there again.My father was a lawyer with a human heart and a highly respected man , he was loved by everyone and he took cases of people without money and took care of them with his wonderful ❤️ This Cain is a lyer when he says " an attorney with heart" ? Yes , my father was a Dean of the oldest and we'll know attorney, so loved and respected doing his civil duties no matter what the circumstances were. Believe me this Cain attorney with a ❤️ 🤣 is trying to make you fall for a lie. My father again even the president of the Republic, went to his funeral. As you can read ,this Cain has no human Heart ,not even to invite you to his office and in a compassionate understanding has the heart to tell you , I am sorry for not being able to take your case. Little midget without balls. Lack of character , compassion or intelligence.i believe in karma and i hope no one would hire a lier like that one. I had money to pay ,he always hid his face in the sand , I have nothing else to say that please if you read this ,find a lawyer with balls ,that midget lies to get your trust,, how could anyone hire an attorney without a heart and mainly ,without balls..Good luck Cain, you'll end up in the poor house,to lie is a big sin!

Ben Herren has been my divorce lawyer for 4 years and I am very grateful to him and his team for all their professional help. His assistant Samantha Castaneda is excellet-I highly reccomend.

Ben Herren was recommended to me by a friend when I was going through a divorce. I'm very pleased with the work he and Paralegal Sam Castaneda did for me. I received great advice from Ben. Sam was always very responsive and provided wonderful heartfelt support during this difficult time. Manny was also very pleasant. The literal worst. I went into this asking for Michael Collins to represent me. Within a few months he passed me off to one of the newer attorneys. Secondly, I had a very real issue that I was dealing with and needed genuine help. I trusted these people, and hoped they had my back. Months into the case, Michael accidentally sent me an email that was meant for his colleagues, and he was saying terrible things about me. This was someone that was supposed to “represent” me and have my back. I definitely do not recommend. I’m still in a terrible situation and this law firm did absolutely nothing for me. The secretary is super sweet, but I wouldn’t trust the attorneys with your money.

Sadly, If I could give a zero I would. The only decent thing they have going for them is their secretary Manny who has always been helpful and professional whether it be on the phone or in person. Their slogan should actually be “The Attorneys without heart” instead of the “Attorneys with heart”. We retained the firm to resolve an easement issue on our property and had Michael Collins represent us. He got suspended from practicing law in the midst of our case. We only learned about it from reading the newspaper Maui News. The firm never let us know there was an issue going on with Collins. We were suspect though. His paperwork had numerous grammatical errors consistently. The communications with us, his clients , was very unprofessional. We actually had to personally correct and e-mail corrections back to him. We reached out to the firm after learning about Collins and got a call back from them. David Cain said he would take on our case and apologized about Collins. Well, for a moment, we were optimistic that the head of the firm was taking over, but this was short lived. Cain is even more unprofessional than Collins! Cain has chewed through thousands of dollars without any resolve. Now, not only is our easement issue unresolved, but today, he (David Cain) arrived at a scheduled meeting he had arranged around his schedule. He entered the meeting at his office looking very preoccupied. He was physically shaking, when he walked in. he was short, curt, and after literally two minutes picked up and stormed out of the meeting room. This man, the one we had retained to be our advocate, did not even let us have a proper sit down for a discussion. We are certainly done with this firm. I feel bad, because there was a time this was a respected law firm, but not any more. Steer clear friends.
