Super unfortunate- I used Christian Martineau three years ago to form my LLC and he did a great job. He told me the cost upfront which I paid and that was no problem, this time, unfortunately, it was the opposite. I discussed I needed my LLC transferred to another individual since I am now selling my business. I stated exactly what I wanted- He told me the cost would be $3,000 which I agreed to. Later that week his paralegal sends me a bill for $7,500. I immediately emailed back stating we agreed on $3,000. She responded with "oops, I am sorry about that." And she did fix the problem. A week before my business is going to be transferred to the new owner, I receive another bill for $570. I email back stating that we agreed on the price of $3,000. She stated this process took longer than expected and there are extra fees. She also said Christian made me aware the price could go up. I can assure you he never said that. He told me it would be a set fee. My mother is an attorney and when I told her this scenario she said "this is sketchy, never use him again." Now that the business has been transferred to the new owner, she has had so many problems with them! Christian stated she would get a new tax id number which is not true- she is having to do so much work that we paid him to do! They never filled out form 8822-B which needs to be sent into the IRS. So now the new owner is having to do this which we paid them to do. I have referred many clients over to them which I will never do again. I would recommend going elsewhere.
