Matt was able to help me identify and resolve many issues with my divorce modification. He helped me turn around my parenting plan to where I was able to get back my kids and set up a life for me and my kids. He is a very caring person and made me feel like my issues were important.

On the actual day of court, Matt showed up professional and confident, which helped me feel the same. What a comfort during such a difficult time. Matt was friendly, clear, and easy to understand in his communication, and helped me to feel secure during the process. The only negative I would share is that sometimes, communication between us was slow, which I imagine is due to a heavy workload. When he did respond though, I was always satisfied with the answer. And, like I stated, we got what we came for: sole legal custody. I am very grateful to Matt!

I would highly recommend Matt Holden in matters of family law. As a father that has gone thru a divorce you need someone on your side that understands your importance in children's lives and is willing to fight for you. Divorce sucks, but when it happens, and you can't work it out on your own (and please do yourself a favor and try all avenues to do that first, but if you can't.....) you need an attorney like Matt that can help you navigate pitfalls parents often find themselves in. Don't get me wrong, even when you hire a good attorney you still have to do a ton of work writing depositions, responding to inquiries etc. Divorce is bad, toxic divorces are awful (trust me... I know firsthand), and the process is very time consuming. Don't expect your attorney to do everything for you. You are your best advocate - your attorney is your spokesman. But a good attorney is worth the money, and Matt is a good one. Not only did he help get me everything...and I mean EVERYTHING...I wanted in relation to custody of my children, but he also helped me retain more net worth in the divorce than I thought I was entitled to. Matt used a little known Idaho law regarding community property that saved me well over $200k in net worth which easily covered attorney fees. Like I said.....good attorney's are worth it. On top of all of that Matt is very easy to work with. He is easy to relate to, he listens well and it's obvious he really cares about his clients. He'll let you know when you are right and also when you are wrong and how to approach all of those situations. Matt learned from the best divorce attorney in the state of Idaho and one of the best in the country. He is knowledgeable and you won't regret having him as your attorney when you need one. I'm sorry you need a divorce attorney, but do yourself a favor and hire Matt.

He jumped on the ball as soon as I got in for my consultation. He was certainly very personable and cared for mine and my kids' well being. He was very knowledgeable and knew just what to say and do for me. I fought for me and my kids for everything we deserved. He checked up on us weekly and made sure we were getting all that we were supposed to in my divorce/custody case. Even after we won, he still checks up on us and offers advice and help. I will never go to another lawyer again, and recommend him to everyone I know who needs one. I am so thankful for all he did for my kids and I.
