Was referred to Trout to handle a very simple order to show cause. Fee churning in my opinion with two attorneys doing the work of one. Should have been a bill for no more than $10,000 in my opinion and I received a bill for $21,000 for a very basic order to show cause. When I questioned them about the large bill, they agreed to discount 10% but $19,000 is still about double what this should have cost in my opinion.

Kim Trout is an outstanding attorney. He worked tirelessly with us on our case for ten tough months. He was amazingly knowledgeable, calm and supportive. He and his paralegal extraordinaire, Kevin, were patient, thorough and professional. We have nothing but the highest praise for this remarkable legal team.

Kim and his team take the time to understand the entire case and the potential outcomes. Then they inform the client. Very important for everyone to be on the same page. Kim is very knowledgeable in business law and has additional resources to utilize as required. His conduct in court is very professional, knowledgeable and planned. As important as his knowledge and client relations is his concern and attention for the best outcome. He spends his time wisely. There are the big law houses in Boise that show large marquees at the entrance to large fancy offices, filled with ambitious attorneys who want to make partner status. Who need clients they can over serve and over-charge. Kim will do excellent work for reasonable fees!

Kim has represented our company and family a number of times throughout past 15 years or so. He's helped us recover funds, litigate wrongful death claim, navigate corporate matters and a whole lot more. We were suing a construction company for non payment of invoices in the millions. It was a long complicated, strategy propelled case and at each stage Mr Trout was the main strategist and leader of our team. There were many elements to the case including fraudulent expenses, co-mingling of funds, false testimony and high level drama in the courtroom. There were 52 separate issues on which the jury had to declare and in each case it was settled in our favour. Without Trout this could have been a disaster but as it turned out it was an overwhelming success.
