I have been a customer for 15 years+. The inititial set up was great and the support was good for a few years. Unfortunately, they don't seem to be able to adequately support their customer base. Year end reporting has been a very slow with many issues. Their advice has been terrible, even advising me incorrectly on items that could cause IRS action. Recently, they raised the price over 10% for this poor support. I am not satisfied and would change service providers but it is difficult and expensive. Choose carefully! I have decided to end my relationship with Guidant and retire and transfer my 401k funds. I need to have an attorney review everything before closing out the 401k...I have been working for over a month trying to get copies of my 401k plan and revisions. Guidant has totally messed this up and I still don't have the forms I've requested!!!! Guidant does not ever have a supervisor or manager available and no requests for intervention have been responded to. Stay away from these guys!!!~!

It has been 4 months and they have still not completed Form 5500 with IRS. I pay them over $1600 per year and their service is horrible. It was good the first few years. And has gotten progressively worse over the last 2 years. It’s like I have to beg them to do what I pay them for.

This has been one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had in setting up my business. Much of the info has been incorrect, they’ve missed my filing dates. Worst of all they completely messed up the 401k program they are supposed to admin. My actual Safe Harbor plan doesn’t look anything like or resemble the documents that they provided for us to give our employees. Their relationship with Merrrill has also been a big disappointment. Merrill sets employees up on a self directed not managed 401k investment plan, disappointing. Lastly they just took a 20% increase for this very poor support and service. I advise anyone to think twice about partnering with Guidant. They don’t seem to value their existing customers.

I find it disheartening that so many client issues can be drowned out by people that financially benefit from working with this company. If you look at the actual customers of this place, you will see many clients are not happy. Definitely not 4 stars. 90 percent of the positive reviews of from people that are not even their clients and that they asked to post a good review. They are referral partners that just want to see a client funded. They don’t know or care about the ongoing service that is provided. Disappointed in seeing a company use this tact to cover up real issues.

They are very knowledgeable about corporate structure, tax advantages, etc. Ultimately, they helped me accomplish my dream of buying a company. However, I signed up for their ongoing TPA program. I have been actively trying to cancel for 3 months, and they refuse to cancel it. I believe this company practices unethical behavior as they simply will not let anyone out of their agreement. My sales rep said you can cancel at anytime, but that isn't the case. They refuse to let it cancel.

Run away fast. This may seem like a good plan, but your monthly fee is just the beginning of the amount of work you will have to do with this inept group. It is not a deal, it is not even a good idea. Revolving door of employees that have no clue what they are doing. Seriously, run away. Screaming.

I have had the pleasure of collaborating with Guidant Financial in a professional capacity for over 7 years now and I can only say good things about their team. Courteous, professional and knowledgeable. If you are looking for capital for your business, Guidant could be a great fit for you.

I personally used Guidant about 8 years ago to roll over my IRA to fund real estate rental property purchases. It was a great experience. I have since purchased several more properties through the revenues generated through this venture. My franchise consulting organization recommends our franchise prospects to look at Guidant as one of their funding options. Over the past several years I have had over 2 dozen prospects use Guidant as their funding source. To say I am pleased would be an understatement. They have always been informative, professional and have guided prospects through the very emotional process funding process. Keep up the good work!

I cannot say enough good things about Guidant Financial, seriously!! I used them a few years ago to start up a business and they were very helpful, competent and took care of everything for me, made the process very simple. Ultimately my business failed miserably and I had to close up shop in 2015, thought the nightmare was over, but a few months ago I received a frightening notice from the IRS that I had not filed my final form, completely my fault and an oversight. So I called Guidant with the faint hope that they would still be willing to help me, even though I had not been a client for a few years, and the kindest gentleman in the world named Peter went above and beyond to help me...he walked me through every step, gave me advice, and settled the entire matter for me in a way that was beyond any help I have ever received before from any company I've ever dealt with. I will be forever grateful, thank you so much!!

I have personally had the opportunity to watch many of my franchisees go through the funding process with Allison Zorich and Nita Ku @ Guidant Financial. The individual attention that is given to each and every client I send to them is the reason I feel comfortable working with Guidant. Im grateful to have a partner that is willing to take the time with my clients.

My experience with Guidant deserves an A+. My financing consultant Ralph Nilssen deserves most the credit here. The time originally presented to me in order to complete my ROBS transaction was actually half. Ralph followed up with me every day and returned every phone and email message that day. He never missed a beat. Even after the ROBS rollover was complete and the Ralph's role was fulfilled, Ralph continued to contact me to see how my SBA loan was coming along. When I mentioned to him that some banks were passing on me, he gave me a couple different alternatives of contacts he knows in the industry. A huge thank you to Ralph Nilssen and all the Guidant team in making my dream come true! You never gave up on me and I will forever be grateful. If you decide to use Guidant as I recommend, ask for Ralph!
