Daniel Taylor is a fraudster. He will coerce and threaten you. He will not fight for you. He will make you take a plea deal. He has the worst track record and has a relationship with the public defenders office. He will steal your money and do nothing to fight for you.

I had scheduled a phone consultation with Chip Adkins on July 12th at 9am. A representative called me at 8:46am to collect payment for the $180 consultation fee and told me that Chip would be calling me shortly. Well, 9am rolls around and no call from the lawyer, so I called his Office thinking they might be waiting for me to call but the secretary who answered said that she saw no appointment scheduled with me, even though I had an email confirming it and they had called me for payment. She called his Office and said that he wasnt even there so she transfered me to his cell phone in which he didnt answer. I left a VM stating that I had an appointment with him and to call me back, which he did 5 minutes later. It sounded like he was driving and he said that he had tried calling me, which was a lie. Anyways, the consultation itself was great because Chip gave me some good legal advice and seemed real knowledgable. He told me he would email me his rates after the phone call but never did. Either he is so busy that he cant keep up with meetings/apppintments or he just doesnt care about potential clients. Its sad that they were quick to take my money but failed to show up or follow up wih the initial consultation.

If I could leave a review with zero stars I would! Really read all reviews I hired them and it was a horrible experience. Took a deal because my lawyer said prison would be off the table and totally screwed my self. You hire them and you deal with different attorneys and when it’s time to go to court you’re dealing with someone you never met or talked to. I had to hire another during sentencing because my lawyer basically told me to get ready to go an be away for 6-12 months. I’m not the only person this happened to. Not an I out $6,500 now I’m out double because I had to hire another attorney. Dan Taylor told me he would block me for being “disrespectful” because I asked him what did I pay for and explained how much of a nightmare it’s been. You have to reach out to them they don’t reach out to you. You give them money to fight for you and they do the complete opposite

The lawyer Ashley is super amazing. She is very intelligent she knows what she's doing and she works hard for her clients we are up against the battle and he has stuck with my boyfriend all the way through in defending his rights with his children this Law Firm is amazing this young woman is very smart and caring thank you so much for working hard for us. May God bless us all and that she brings it home.

Doesn’t return phone calls, is late to show up if at all.. will take your money and do nothing. This guy is a con artist-DO NOT TRUST HIM

I called them to ask one question and the front lady was very very rude! I understand you get a lot of calls a day but no need to be rude! She hung up after asking one question! No regard into what people can be going through! A little bit of humility can go a long ways! They need to let her go cause she is definitely ruining the image of this law firm!

Sawtooth Defense Lawyers should be avoided by private investigators. We were initially hired by Dan Taylor to handle a murder case, and our services were later extended to other related cases involving the same defendant. Despite Dan's assurances that the county would cover the fees, he failed to stay updated with ADA county and neglected to provide the necessary funds and paperwork for payment. As a result, we are still owed $7220.00 for all the work we conducted, putting our firm in a difficult financial situation. The situation escalated to the point where the client partially paid some of the fees but couldn't cover the entire outstanding amount. Unfortunately, Dan Taylor, who also happens to represent Sawtooth Defense Lawyers, has not shown any response or made any attempt to settle the remaining balance. This lack of responsibility and accountability raises serious concerns for anyone considering doing business with Sawtooth Defense Lawyers, and caution should be exercised when dealing with this agency. Our dedicated team invested over a year of intense effort into this case. We worked tirelessly, putting in long hours and exerting our utmost expertise to gather the necessary evidence and pursue justice. The amount of time and resources we committed to this case is a testament to our commitment to providing thorough and diligent investigative services. However, despite our unwavering dedication, we are still left with a substantial outstanding balance that remains unpaid. This unfortunate situation highlights the importance of clear communication, financial responsibility, and honoring contractual agreements in professional relationships.

I am forced to change my review. The small staff that the Boise office has left is great. Terry and Chip both work very hard and do what they can to help. Unfortunately Cordell and Cordell is a huge company that is only concerned with the bottom line $$. The treasure valley has several firms that are hungry and are willing to work hard for the money you are spending. Do yourself a favor and research before retaining this firm. They are very over worked and will not have time for you or your case.

Chip Adkins has been absolutely amazing through this process he has always answered any questions I have had to make sure I understand them and has worked hard for me I would recommend chip too anyone

I have to change my review. After working with Cordell and Cordell they seem very concerned with the money but not their lawyers, and therefore their clients. I have retained 2 lawyers from this firm that have left due to being over worked, and case load is too much. Chip adkins is one of the good ones, but he can't respond in a timely manner when he's got 100 cases! Definitely not the Lawyers fault, mostly the firm. Im not impressed with the firm and it's customer service and prices.

Chip Adkins took care of me and my situation as a father, he went above and beyond, every bump in the road he was able to navigate and take care of it without worry to me. If you are a father fighting for your rights C&C/Chip will take care of you!
