I hired a different law office to handle my bankruptcy filing after a consultation with Avery Law, in hopes of saving a few bucks. It turned out that the attorney that I ultimately hired had limited knowledge of the bankruptcy process and as a result, we were told that we would lose our vehicle exemptions because of the inexperience of my lawyer. My stepson, a tax attorney in Oregon suggested I talk with a more experienced bankruptcy attorney, so I called and talked with John at Avery Law. He was kind enough to review our case and informed me that both the trustee and my attorney had made mistakes in my case and there may be a way to file a notice and subsequently be able to keep our vehicles. My attorney followed John Avery’s advice and filed the paperwork that will save us thousands of dollars. Going into bankruptcy can be pretty intimidating. John Avery and his staff helped make the process easy and it went very smooth. Shelli, Chris, and Sam have all also been super helpful and have been there to answer any questions I had. Very enjoyable people to be around.
