I feel as if the people leaving bad reviews are the opposing parties or people that couldn’t afford her.
She is amazing. A family member had a lot of false accusations (very serious ones) and Kim was able to shut it down in court immediately. My family member that had a lot of cards stacked against them got everything they wanted out of the deal and that was because of this office and team.
She is expensive, but worth it when you are fighting for your livelihood and family. I would recommend her a thousand times over for anyone facing a tough court battle.

Kim is the worst divorce lawyer you can hire. She sends her flunky in to court. You pay her $10,000 for her flunky to represent you. Bad practice. Stay far away.

I was trying to win a very difficult custody case and Kim told me exactly what I needed to do if I was going to win. I followed her advice and was able to win and get what I needed for my child and myself. Custody issues are awful to go through, and I appreciate Brooks Law for getting me through mine!

Custody court and litigation is extremely difficult, emotional, and stressful. Our family was in and out of court for years and I will tell you the best thing we did was have an attorney that was always honest with us and represented us well prepared and full of confidence. Nothing rattled her in all the set backs and turns our case took. Her support staff were always kind, helpful and responsive, especially when everything feels like an emergency in the moment. I don’t know how we could have survived that season without Kim and her staff. We are so thankful.

Kim Brooks, of Brooks Law, got a cash retainer in the thousands (thankfully, not tens of thousands) of dollars,
and Kim immediately requested access to a personal credit card.
⚠️Why!?
Instead of using her own trust account holding the retainer!?
After Kim worked on the case, ~1hr in court, Kim withdrew from the case without any explanation.
It was discovered she was working closely /shared office + support staff with, the opposing attorney, (a friend?) but Kim's withdrawal could have been to focus on amending her own custody case that was active during that time.
Instead of the requested referral to another attorney and refund of any unbilled amount of the retainer, Kim kept/(stole?) the entire retainer, or possibly put the funds l to the opposing parties bills, then sued in small claims for more money.
How was that small claims filing even possible?
As attorneys can't represent in small claims court Kim sent an assistant with a generic invoice, with zero detail.
Kim lost on appeal. The second Judge said she may have gotten away with keeping the retainer but she can't get any more money.
Judge asked permission to shake hands and wished the husband/father well with the actual Divorce/child custody case.
