Ilene Goldstein will stir up hatred and conflict in order to satisfy her own greed. She will bill a client and instruct them to sell their assets so that she can get paid. Hire this unscrupulous attorney, if you really hate your ex, and yourself, and your family. Hire her if you want to demolish what’s left of your family. The woman thrives on destruction of children and families.

KG&W is a very reputable and experienced law firm that cares. They took on my case after I started with a less capable firm, offering to help when I needed it most. They recognized and corrected some key flaws of the past proceedings, and re-set the course immediately. My attorney listened to me and gave me the hard facts on what was and was not possible under the law, offering opportunities and advice that were best for my situation. At every step I felt that he supported and protected me and my family's best interests, and did not ever lose sight of what matters most in the short and long term. It is clear that my attorney (and this firm) is very well respected among peers, judges, and related professionals for their knowledge of the law, and for their professional and effective approach.

Avoid at all costs. Money grabbers who intentionally create more work to run up your bill.

Money suckers. Low quality attorneys. They cost me an arm and a leg for no results.

Not overly impressed, he did a very poor job representing my partner in a child custody matter. According to my partner, he was extremely cozy with judge (which is concerning in and of itself) along with the GAL. More importantly, he did not take Michael's (my partner's) concerns seriously (from our perspective). I guess no one wins in family court, but this guy seems to have too many cases and he didn't spend enough time on our case, despite a hefty $10,000 retainer. My reputation was tarnished and sacrificed for no good reason. If I could sue him, the judge and Michael's ex-wife for libel and slander--I would! However it was not 100% Todd's fault, the judge, I suspect is an extremely pious, self-righteous man (also a bully) and possibly an anti-Semite, but that's another issue all together. Unfortunately, fiction is allowed in Lake County court motions and believed to be the truth, therefore, evidence. It appears (at least to me) Todd and most of all, the judge believe fiction not facts. No case law or precedent was cited. Moreover, no one seems to understand research, nor science on the topic of emotional neglect and the long term consequences on a child's health. The effects carryover into adulthood (obesity, heart disease, substance abuse, a shortened lifespan etc..). Todd please educate yourself, check out Dr. Nadine Burke Harris's research, or, at least watch her Ted talk on childhood trauma and emotional neglect. It matters and most of all, you will make a difference for a child or many children who have a spouse/ex-spouse with a suspected mental illness (a psychiatrist can diagnosis the illness and one was involved in this matter in 2015). To future clients: go see Gary Schlesinger or Michael Strauss for good representation! They get they will get the job done.

They told me I could deduct all the money I spent on their representation for my divorce (with regards to litigating financial related matters) on my tax return. They even drafted a letter for my accountant. He laughed at the letter and said they should know better. I took that letter to another accountant for a second opinion and they said there is no law that gives me the ability to deduct my personal legal fees unless I was receiving alimony. The letter is just one small example of how this firm took almost all of my life savings without honestly and effectively representing me.

Won't fight for you. Will tell you "The law is the law, there is nothing we can do." and collect your money. GO ELSEWHERE.
