Ed Blake prepared a will and power of attorneys for me. I had not been involved in that process before and he explained the advantages of those documents to me and answered any questions I had. Sometimes when a person is not familiar with legal documents, experienced attorney is available to make sure the client understands everything. In particular, Blake Behme Links Raney, P.C. agreed to answer any questions I had at any time in regard to the drafts. They are very courteous and professional in regard to rendering legal service. In regard to the health care power of attorney, they explained to me that primarily was used for situations when I am on a life support system and I have appointed a loved one as my agent to make key decisions with respect to continuation of life support or other matters. This has always been a concern of mine. They also prepared a property power of attorney. It was explained to me that it basically has to do with a situation whereby if I am in an auto accident, and not be able to exercise my mental health faculties, my agent would be in the position to step in and handle my finances and other matters, without the cost having to go to court in regard to a guardianship or other type of legal proceeding. Blake Behme Links Raney, P.C. explained to me that having these types of documents in place, that could save substantial amounts of money in the future, in the event matters arise which although not certain to occur in the near future, will probably occur at some point down the road. I felt very comfortable with their recommendations and advice. I believe I understand the documents that they prepared. If I do not, they have assured to me that at any point in the future they are more than willing to sit down with me, at no cost, and answer any questions or provide any further explanation as I may request.

This office did not do what they were told and did not do what they said they had done. I waited precious time and money with the promise that they were doing the job they agreed to do and were paid for. Buyer beware. Go somewhere else. I had the top named attorney at this firm and he wouldn't even acknowledge that he and his staff had messed up leaving me no choice but to collect my information and items so I could take it to the attorney for the Executor of my grandmother's estate. They told me they would send this information over several months ago and they didn't so I was repeatedly charged for letters that never should have been sent to me. They also chose to only send me some of the information from the other attorney but charged me for pages that I needed and didn't receive.

Took nearly 6000.00 from me and never did any of the things they were asked to do. They asked me several times if I wanted items sent over to the executors attorney. I told them yes with several witnesses in the room in November 2023 and ended up having to go to their office today February 15, 2024 and retrieved all the items that were supposed to be sent to the other attorney and hand delivered them myself. While I am waiting for a forensic accountant to look over what I was charged for and what work they say they did, I am having to start completely over with my grandmother's estate. I have to relive the loss of the last living member from my father's side of the family. Edward Blake Jr. Only spoke to me 2 times for a total of 30 minutes and his office would only tell me they would let the attorney know anytime I called with a question. And honestly I didn't call because I never received any answers for any of the questions I did ask him and his staff. Find someone else. Be warned and aware before calling this firm for help.

After having a short conversation with what appeared to be their secretary they told me there's nothing they could do. I today got a 622 affidavit and I believe her words to me exactly where you don't even know what qualifies as medical malpractice we don't handle stuff like that. She didn't apologize for the situation I was in but said there was absolutely nothing that they could do you only asked me a few questions and I talked to you for like 2 minutes how could you know the whole situation. I guess it's good that you're not representing me on my case with this little effort as you put into the conversation I can only imagine how much you put into a case I even told you that I've done my due diligence and I have documents and documents but with no avail you guys would not help me so I don't know what kind of clients you guys work with but I guess my medical malpractice case wasn't good enough for you or you didn't understand what was going on in it either way you're not going to get it I just think that it sucks that you guys said I had nothing going on for me so what kind of lawyer

Zero stars if possible. Several attorneys of the Belleville area and I questioned together how Behme has the career that she does. I do not think she should be in a position of power or as a GAL making decisions or “recommendations” over anyone’s children or lives. In my situation she seemed to take things very personally and it felt that she acted on those emotions in her position when she was offended by my truth or I disagreed with her lack of acknowledgment and effort to my side of things. Which as you can imagine, could easily turn someone’s life upside down unfairly and unethically. She actually only spoke to me truly once, only asking very few questions, the very first interview and I felt she made it very uncomfortable moving forward for me to try to speak to her in regards to my side of things. I knew exactly what she thought of me before she spoke it on the stand. And when she spoke it on the stand, I could’ve swore my ex wrote it up himself. The narrative was eerily similar. Baffling situation because I knew she did not know me or my life and children, at all. In any capacity. A lot to say but I’ll leave it at that. Not a good experience, it was actually one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in my life. Wouldn’t wish it on anyone. Good luck to those trying to actually find middle ground in a hard life altering situation, while keeping the best interest of your children and yourself in mind.

A health care power of attorney and a property power of attorney were prepared for me by Blake Behme Links Raney, P.C. They explained to me that the power of attorney allows for me to identify an agent, whether a family member or friend that can act on my behalf, including in the event I am at a hospital receiving treatment and/or if I am unable to make decisions for myself at that time. They also explained to me that in regard to the power of attorney for property, that has to do with finances and related matters, including in the event I am in an accident and I am unable to make financial decisions for myself. In regard to the power of attorney for health care, it was explained to me that in the event that I needed a guardian at some point, including pursuant to a Court proceeding, that the person identified as my agent in the power of attorney for health care, can be nominated by me to be appointed as my guardian. In addition to the power of attorney for health care and the power of attorney for property, Blake Behme Links Raney, P.C. also prepared for me a Last Will and Testament. They explained to me that a Last Will and Testament comes into effect upon my death, when the power of attorney for health care and the power of attorney for property, are no longer in effect.

Padded bill. Not direct with work on case to end successfully always more money $8000 and no professional court prepared action. poor attitude of a devious wants $$$ Avoids the work. Do not do not hire this firm.

I've had a family law attorney through these guys for over 2.5 years now. Never had issues making payments. They've seen my court case from the beginning to the end with no issues from me. I have a hearing in a couple weeks and have been unemployed for a couple months, unable to make any payments on my debt. I asked to have my monthly payments lowered to a more manageable amount and the request was denied. They all know I don't have a job and can't afford to make my payments at the moment while I look for work. So what do they do? They request I pay all of my debt in a lump sum and filed a motion to leave. On top of that, as soon as a decision was made in my case, my attorney pretty much washed her hands of the whole thing. Any concerns I had? Rarely followed up with. It takes 3 weeks or longer to schedule an appointment with her. This firm is terrible and they only care about money. They have no concerns for their clients and no regard for anybody's well-being except their own. You could kill yourself and they'd still try to find a way to capitalize off of it. I'd strongly recommend going somewhere else for a family law attorney, especially if you're a single father. You'll just end up broke and worse off than when you started if you hire anyone from this law firm. There's better lawyers around you just have to call around and find them. I was just unlucky enough to hire these money hungry thieves because my attorney sounded knowledgeable. Don't make the same mistake I did

paid over 5200.00 and didn't get good service hire one attorney paid for two attorneys Please read your contract with them carefully Because if you call to ask a question, with a one minute respond it will cost you 30 minutes and because he has to consult with someone else that another 30 minute 295.00 per hour is a total ripped off. I felt like they only made a bad situation worst for me. Now I'm 5300.00 in debt dealing with them.
