I have been in the real estate business since 1973 and hold a broker license in IL, KY & MO. During this time I have worked with many attorneys and met Ed Blake in the late 80’s at a farm loan closing. Since that time, I have found Ed to be one of the most knowledgeable attorneys in real estate. During the years several of the properties have involved divorce and in some a death in the family which causing issues in some cases since no provisions were made. A knowledgeable attorney is necessary to handle the situation for the family and I, have found Ed to be able to work with people involved in both scenarios. Be assured that one or more issues can arise at the transfer of a property (incorrect legal description, incorrect written easements as well as a variety of others). With a competent attorney such as Ed Blake, these surprises at the closing will be less likely to occur.
