HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL, UNETHICAL AND INCOMPETENT
She was the lawyer assigned to my personal injury case after retaining the Wisconsin based law firm Hausmann McNally in 2015. For 4 years, she strung me along by repeatedly reassuring me of the integrity of my case, then she suddenly quit in 2019. She said that she recently left the firm Hausmann McNally and started her own firm in Belvidere, IL. She told me that she did not believe she could get the insurance company to settle, and she was unwilling to invest any further resources into the case because she needed to focus her limited resources into establishing her new law firm. I had to find a new attorney, who did get the insurance company to pay on the claim, but it took 2 1/2 years because the case files he received from Theresa Wybrow were incomplete and disorganized, and she had allowed the case to age so long that it was difficult to put the case together. So he had to essentially start from scratch. She had the gall to charge the new atty. approx. $242 for the files. The fact that the new atty. was able to settle the case after Theresa Wybrow had it for 4 years and quit demonstrates both incompetence and a lack of aggression. And according to what the new atty. said about the files he purchased from her, it sounds like she is very disorganized. Dropping my case after it was 4 years old also clearly demonstrates her lack of professionalism and ethics. Perhaps she learned her ethics from the head of the law firm she formerly worked for, who is a convicted felon after being found guilty in federal court of conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud in connection with a kickback scheme in his Wisconsin personal injury practice. In the interest of helping others avoid being victimized, I intend to post reviews of Theresa Wybrow in every forum and venue I can find.
