Justine and Alicja were my A-team for real estate lawyers. They simplify the legalese to make sure I understood the content while also explaining why the contracts/disclosures are written that way. I knew what I was signing and they made sure nothing tripped me up. Even if most of the stuff pertaining to real estate is in stock format, it was important to me that all the details lined up.

My husband found Steve on a website when he was seeking legal advice for a problem he was looking to resolve, and I was very skeptical of finding an "internet lawyer" initially. Little did I know how much Steve would become apart of our lives and how incredibly professional, helpful and responsive he was to all our needs. Steve has represented my husband, and he has been doing such a great job in that matter that my dad has also used him for his own separate litigation case. My husband and I also had Steve represent us as we bought and closed on our first home, and he made the process so easy and stress-free by reviewing all the documents and simplifying the language for us. We were referred to Richard Johnson of Katz Friedman Law Firm by a trusted family friend when my husband was injured at work several years ago. This was the best advice we ever followed. My husband’s work comp case and the subsequent disability case was very drawn out and complicated. Trying to navigate the confusing process for disability was very stressful and intimidating. Richard was with us each step of the way, always treating us with respect and dignity. He took the time to explain things we could not understand, answering any questions honestly, clearly and without hesitation. He was never more than a reassuring phone call away and would often answer emails during the evenings or weekends. Jim has been representing me through my Social Security Disability adventure for 6 years. I knew my case would not be easy because of my disabilities. I contacted Jim after I initially applied for SSDI. My case was denied the first time through. Unfortunately, the Rheumatologist I had been seeing for 17 years kept horrible records, barely recording any medical history. After reviewing them, Jim knew this was going to be an uphill battle, but battle on he did. Jim filed an appeal on my behalf and I finally had my day in court. Fibro fog, memory issues and pain are difficult cases to present, but Jim did a great job. I was awarded a partially favorable decision, meaning I would receive SSDI payments going forward. However, I did not agree with the date of disability onset determined by the judge. So, Jim filed an appeal on my behalf to amend the judge's decision of date of disability onset. It took two years, but I did have my second day in court. Jim presented my case in a passionate and professional way. He has gone above and beyond what I believe a lot of attorneys would have done. Through all six years, Jim has always been accessible, returned e-mails and phone calls in a timely manner. He communicated with me every step of the way. He's been patient and kind, listening to my concerns and calming my fears. Jim has kept a positive and upbeat attitude through this process. He's given me fantastic representation and I couldn't have asked for a better attorney to be with me on this journey. I'd highly recommend Jim to anybody who's applying for SSDI. He's got the knowledge, experience and patience to navigate the extremely complicated and muddy waters of the Social Security Disability system.

Jim has been unbelievable in my VA disability case. He is down to earth, compassionate, realistic, and knowledgeable. Jim is very thorough. I have been getting the run around by the VA since I initially filed in 2014 and just had my BVA hearing so I have not yet received a decision from the judge. I previously had the American Legion and then the DAV as representatives and they truly dropped the ball. Jim was able to show and explain to me where mistakes had been made and he also helped me to retrieve documents I thought had previously been submitted but apparently had not. He had everything typed up and organized and went over everything I should expect during my hearing and was able to put my mind at ease on many issues. I walked out of my hearing and recommended him to three other Veterans right there before even leaving the VA and I would recommend him to anyone else who takes the time to read this. I know attorneys fees may be a concern for some but I believe his rates are fare and definitely worth it if you are in the same boat as I was and just ready to throw in the towel. I felt very confident walking out of there knowing I had him working with me through this process.

I called several other law offices and they were very uninterested in anything I had to say. I spoke with Steve McCann and he was extremely helpful. He was very informed on the law and never had to double check or reference anything. I had a few quick questions that required quick answers and he gave them and neither of our time was wasted. If I am need of his legal expertise in the future, I would not hesitate to call again.
