Jeffrey is the best family law attorney in my opinion. I had searched for many lawyers and Jeffrey was God sent to me during one of the worst hardships of my life. From our first meeting, he explained everything to me in terms I could easily understand and was always very responsive when I had questions outside of our meetings. He not only eased my anxiety by speaking with me about my legal rights but also promptly took care of all the paperwork with excellent communication.Jeffrey worked with me from 2021-2023. I can say he is very knowledgeable and cares for his customers. If you are looking for an attorney with excellent communication and experience, take the time to have a consultation with him. They will promise me the sky and the moon and then after they charge you twice for every hour because “two” attorneys were needed, they fail to deliver at basics. Save your time and go somewhere who there are humans who care.

We’re very grateful to have come across Richard Hanus and his staff at the time we did. Fortunately we had a family friend who had used Richard’s services before and who recommended him very strongly. Having now completed our process successfully, my husband and I similarly recommend him to anyone who needs to navigate the immigration system for any reason. We came to Richard during the thick of the COVID pandemic and found ourselves under a great deal of pressure trying to figure out how to start the immigration process. The number of forms required, the government lingo and the huge quantity of paperwork required made us feel very out of our depth. Shortly after our initial consultation, Richard provided us with a concise list in plain English of everything we would need to forward to him. He welcomed and answered all our questions and no question was too silly. It really took all of the stress out of our situation, gave us an incredible sense of confidence and allowed us to enjoy our time as newlyweds first and foremost. The biggest factor was peace of mind. Richard had been through the process countless times with other couples and took all of the guesswork out of what is a very complicated process. We can’t imagine having managed without his help. It was extremely apparent from the get go that Richard had years of experience in Immigration law. His office is located right by the Homeland Security building where interviews take place and he is familiar with the staff just through the sheer number of times he’s helped people through the process. We couldn’t imagine someone having better familiarity with the requirements and appreciate so much having Richard and his law office by our side during this vulnerable time in our lives.

Before I came in to see Richard for a consultation I personally met with four other lawyers that week. Our appointment was on Friday as far as I remember. I was so desperate for help from a lawyer, it was during my third semester in my nursing school. I was failing classes because of the stress I was going through with my application. When I sat down with Richard I told him straight in the face that I want to finish my nursing school. This was my American dream. Today I am nurse and I told Richard that I know when a nurse/doctor does its job and when a lawyer does his. I like working with Richard because he knows what he is doing and I completely trusted him with my application and with advices for other matters as well.

Mr. Hanus helped my husband to receive a green card. His case was challenging and took a long time. After the judge granted the green card, surprisingly, the prosecutor proceeded to appeal that decision. Mr. Hanus negotiated with prosecutor and convinced them to withdraw the appeal, so we wouldn't have to go back to court and spend more money. He is worth what he is charging.
