I have engaged Mr. Fotopoulos on various real estate transactions and recently on a residential property. Great client service, knowledge and communication throughout the process. He managed the entire transaction efficiently with great attention to detail. He takes the time to explain complex areas into layman terms and showcases his experience in the industry. Chris Fotopoulos provided outstanding legal services for both the sale of our first home and the complicated purchase of our second. In fact, Mr. Fotopoulos was also responsible for the painless purchase of our first home almost 3 years ago as well! He patiently guided us through the entire process of buying a new construction condo, while negotiating a time-sensitive sale of our first home. From contract through close, Chris was incredibly responsive, patient, and knowledgeable on the intricacies of Illinois and the City of Chicago real estate law. What was also reassuring about working with Chris is that he knows the other players in the market. This comes in handy as he was our best advocate throughout the entire deal. Chris is the attorney that you want in your corner for any and all real estate transactions. We highly recommend him for his exceptional service and attention to detail!

Chris has handled the closings on two properties my Husband and I own, and each one went as smooth as silk. The thing we like best about Chris is the fact that "there are no stupid questions" from his client to him, and he makes sure all your questions are answered to your satisfaction before he will allow you to sign off on anything. We will definitely hire Chris again as the need arises. Also, as others have noted, he has a great sense of humor, too!

Chris followed through on several details that were specific to the sale of my home. He clarified an address change for my property even tho the county had not clarified. He was great at keeping everyone involved and informed of changes. His tenacity was present through the whole closing. For my purchase he was equally on top of all details including last minute changes that had to be addressed quickly. I had an issue on access to my new location and he was able to get the association to change a construction schedule in order to get me access to my new home. Absolutely the greatest; would highly recommend.

Chris was an excellent guide for my husband and I through the unchartered territory of buying our first home. We appreciated his attention to detail and patience answering our questions along the way. We never doubted Chris had our best interests at heart. Chris represented my wife & I purchasing our home in Glen Ellyn. We were moving from Pennsylvania as a result of a corporate relocation. The “customs & rules” of purchasing a home in IL are different in many ways, especially how property taxes are paid. When I first learned that IL was “an Attorney State” and that I was required to have an attorney represent us in the real estate transaction, I felt this was a little over the top. Having now gone through the process, I have a different opinion. It was great having Chris guide us and explain all the details. Chris was very easy to talk with. Explained the process. We were never “chasing” the buying/closing process. This helped to reduce the stress level during what is typically a very stressful time.

I've worked with Chris on five separate real estate deals - both residential and industrial. Chris is extremely bright, knows how to manage a transaction, and has been able to cover his fee several times over with the value he brought to our projects. We have worked together professionally and I've hired him for my own personal legal needs. It takes a lot of trust to recommend any service provider to either clients or family and I've done both because of the level of service he provides. He is personable, capable, and very easy to work with.

Chris assisted us with our first home purchase on December 16th. The process actually began in July 2015. Chris stuck with us through two potential transactions that didn't work out. The transaction that did occur was a short sale. He kept us abreast of any updates during the process. Chris was always very responsive, organized and professional. He would always break things down and made sure we understood what we were reading or signing. We always felt he was looking out for our best interests. One example of this was during our walkthrough. We found that the seller had left a lot of heavy object in the house. This was a breech of contract and Chris immediately discussed this with the opposing attorney to try and resolve the issue. What we learned from this process is that buying a home requires you to put a solid team together (lawyer, agent, lender) to assist you in making sure a smooth transaction occurs and your best interests are looked out for. We'd ask Chris to be on our team time and again and would recommend him without reservation.

Chris Fotopoulos came highly recommended to me and it was easy to see why. As a first time home buyer, I was undoubtedly nervous and had many questions. Chris answered each one and walked me through every step of the process. He was very knowledgeable and patient with all of my inquiries! I actually went through two transactions with Chris! Through no fault of my own, my initial deal fell through because of the sellers. It was a tough situation and Chris fought for me until that transaction was terminated. Shortly thereafter, I had the pleasure of working with him again on my current condo and I cannot stress this enough - he was fantastic. On the day of the closing, we went through each piece of paper. If there was something that I did not grasp very well, he explained it to me until I did. He truly cares for his clients and wants them to be happy with their purchase. I have - and will continue - to recommend Chris for any transactions going forward.
