fantastic experience buying and selling with them

All of it was perfect. A lot of “above and beyond” work by the entire crew. The cherry on top was the follow up. In addition to the (kept) promise of being able to provide post-closing legal advice, they periodically sent a limited number of easy to read and follow emails with important “to do” list items necessary for us to survive the game of home ownership.

These guys are absolute pros. They were true advocates during crunch time. I highly recommend working with them.

Quick and efficient closing process!

My experience with the Wasserman firm fell short of my expectations. The process started great with Mr. Wasserman's attentiveness and focus on purchasing my home. He worked through any issue throughout the purchase process and represented me well. Where things went wrong was at the physical closing. Unfortunately, Mr. Wasserman could not be present, and his associate John was there to represent me. However, he was only there physically and was more concerned with getting to his subsequent closing instead of focusing and representing me as a client. John told me at my closing that it had to go quickly as he needed to be in the city for a challenging closing. He was condescending and disrespectful of my time and made it clear that I was not a priority. During the final walk-through, I identified items that were no longer working or broken that needed to be addressed. When I brought up the issues, John was unwilling to help nor had time to address them with the seller's attorney or realtor. John stated, "There's nothing I can do now. Didn't you see that before?" He was in such a hurry to get through my closing that he did not want to address any questions or even go through the documents; he just brushed me off. Luckily, my mortgage company, Summit Funding, had provided the closing documents in advance, and I could review them before the closing. What was supposed to be an exciting day turned into a not-so-great day. I felt disrespected and unimportant by John, specifically that I was not his priority. I did reach out to Mr. Wasserman, who expressed his regret and assured me that such a practice was not what he aimed to build. However, he did mention that John's subsequent closing was challenging. Yet, this subsequent closing was unrelated to me and should not have been an excuse for the lack of representation I experienced. I had paid for an attorney to represent me, and that did not happen at the closing. John reached out to me later to apologize, but the damage had already been done, and the documents had been signed. His apology, though sincere, came after he had been called out, and it felt a little too late. Despite my personal experience, I still believe in the Wasserman firm's capabilities. However, I would strongly advise potential clients to ensure that John is not their attorney, as his representation fell far short of my expectations.

I have been working with Michael on all my real estate transactions since 2013. Michael and team are extremely professional and will do whatever it takes to make sure your transaction is protected and done correctly. I highly recommend Michael and team.

We don't live in Chicago and didn't even see our condo prior to closing. John and his team did an awesome job of keeping us informed and staying on top of everything. I highly recommend them!

To qualify, I have bought and sold property at least 5-6 times in the last several years, and so, have established some benchmarks for what makes a good Real Estate Attorney. That said, Wasserman Law is EXCELLENT! We worked with John Aylesworth and Brendan on 2 closings and in both cases found expertise and efficiency in all aspects of the transactions from negotiating to the close! Here you will find deep knowledge of real estate law and professionalism. I will work with them again. High recommend.
