I have had only two experiences with lawyers in my adult life, both stemming from a DUI I earned and deserved a couple of years ago. The first attorney went once to court with me and did a reasonable job as far as I know on the plea and getting me supervision. After that, he wasn't willing to take my calls and was pretty much non responsive. This led me to look on line for other representation. I won the lottery when I found the Toney Law Firm - They answered my questions and went to bat for me in the follow up court date. The result was complete termination of further responsibilities and a successful end of the supervision period. I got my life back with no strings attached. This would most surely not have been the result if I had retained the other attorney or tried to go it alone.
