If you want the best lawyer, look no further. Mr. Schmiege was clear, concise, understanding, knowledgeable, dedicated, transparent, and diligent. When I wanted to take the easy plea bargain, he discouraged me from doing it, which ultimately led to my case being dismissed. He gave his honest and professional opinion and it was the correct course of action. He constantly communicated his plans and managed expectations expertly. He was detailed and straight to the point. I recommend him wholeheartedly. I was impressed with his communication at every junction over the course of nine months. Absolutely a hidden gem in Chicago. Best of the best.

Not my real name...but I recently retained Michael as a defense attorney. I had never been arrested before, and had no clue how the whole process worked. Michael met with me before I was to make my first court appearance. He walked me through all my options, what to expect, and the best course of action. You could tell he was well seasoned, and knew exactly what he was doing. If you find yourself in need of good legal representation, and want someone that actually cares...definitely give him a call! Having spoken to half a dozen attorneys after being arrested, he was the only one that wanted to meet face to face beforehand and talk about the case. To me, that spoke to his character, and his willingness to help his clients.

Michael is a wonderful attorney! I hired him twice for two different cases that I had which were only 2 months apart. He's very thorough and efficient. I was even able to reach him after hours through phone calls, texts, and email.
