My trade in construction is a union tuckpointer . I hang on the side of B lding sort of like window washers. The swing stage is what is used to do restoration work .moving the stage around the B lding is a lot of hard stenosis work. On the roof we move beams and steel weights and lower cables to spots we have to work .on I was working on a 25 story B lding . The roof had a of pipes for heat and air conditioning. They were there for a long time so the maintenance crowd had made short 2 foot ladders and put them in spots to use to get over the pipes easier. Been on the job for over a week and had to move the stage several times to get to the work that needed to be done. One morning in moving the equipment I was used the maintenance short ladders to get over the pipes. Had a 50pound weight in had and was taking my second step using the short ladder .the ladder step just broke under my foot and I fell twisting my knee and the weight hitting me. My partner on the job knew I was hurt . The knee swelled up quickly maintenance was informed and came to help get me down from the roof I was given a ice bag and taken to the er by my fellow worker . Maintenance said they would make a report. Now I ended up needed a complete knee operation tearing myACL.... Well the maintenance crew and building didn't make a report a d didn't want to pay. Lucky my friend referred me to Mr. Rosenfeld. He went to the building to investigate the accident scene. He got some cooperation. But on the roof the short ladders were all gone . Those were a big part of the case. Nobody that worked there said they didn't know anything about it. Well Mr Rosenfeld on his own wentto the the buildings dumpster and found out the ladders were all in the trash .He photo graphed them and even took one of the ladders. Without the ladders the case was weak . But with them the bills were paid . I was awarded a good settlement and all went great . Mr. Rosenfeld is on the job and gets it done .
