I was contacted by a family member back in February regarding a case that our family had to sue over for the neglect of our aunt while she was alive in a nursing home. Initially my father was one the beneficiaries in the settlement, but he passed before they could settle I was contacted by a Mr. Kemel requesting my father death certificate and my photo id so that they could create the estate and release a check on my fathers behalf. I sent all of the information requested within two days. I waited patiently to hear back from the attorney and never heard back from him. I emailed him which I have all emails from him saying that someone died in the office and there was no one to send the paperwork but it was ready to go and that I should check the mail that week. I did that.. nothing! I continued to reach out over weeks to be given the run around and back and forth that they would be coming soon just to never receive anything. I started to call and was told he was not available to speak with and to leave a message I did that.. no return call. Over the next several months since March I have contacted the office well over 10 times. I was told that Mr Kemel was no longer on the case and that I needed to speak with someone else names steinman, left a voicemail once again no call back! I called today (Friday) after I called Monday being told someone would call me today by end of business (again that was Monday) to be told that there will be a message left for someone named Peters and to wait for their call.. there has been no communication! Firm is very unprofessional and has given me the run around literally since February meanwhile I have emails back in march from Kemel stating that the check is ready to be sent out.. not only is this overwhelming and frustrating but very triggering because I’m having to chase down a check that I am only getting because my dad died!! This is supposed to be a firm who represents people who have been mistreated and represent for negligence but they are negligent as well..I am not the type of person to even take the time to do reviews because at some point you will always have a bad experience but as I decided to come here today.. I see exactly why people do it!!
