Let the client beware. Think about it, lawyers are never really your friend. Their goal, like other business folk’s, is to make the almighty dollar. They wouldn’t take our case because it wasn’t cut and dry and boy it wasn’t. It would’ve taken a lot of leg work as we had documentation that would have required research on their part. They know what cases will make them the most money with the least amount of work and to that extent they are very knowledgeable about the law in terms of what it will get them, not how it will help those who need it. I’m sure the cases they choose to take on go into settlement 99.99% of the time and ditch the ones that don’t. I will go so far as to lump any “big name” injury/accident legal firm into this category as they leave the big anti-trust, class-action lawsuits to the big guns who do more work for larger payouts. And those TV ads? Hilarious and not in a good way.
