Attorney Nenye E. Uche... Wow!!! He is truly the best above the rest. A relative was facing 40 years for an alleged aggravated sexual assault charge. NOT GUILITY-My husband was facing 30 to 50 years in prison for unlawful use and possession of a weapon, combined with being charged as an armed habitual criminal. Through our painful, excruciating, and stressful journey, which lasted more than three (3) years we researched, hired and sought the assistance of five (5) prominent attorneys in Chicago and they all said it was not a winnable case, after taking our money, or they were not sure what the outcome would be based on the evidence. The police found my husband and his friend asleep in his friend’s car. They had been out drinking and fell asleep outside our home. After approaching the car and banging on the window, the Police Officer asked my husband to exit the car, which he did with his hands up, and a cup in his hand. At some point words were exchanged, and the Officer pulled his gun, and my husband turned his back and ran out of fear, with his hands up the entire time, hollering, “please don’t shoot.” When my husband was arrested he was held for approximately 48 hours and charged with possession of a gun.  The Officer wrote in his report, that my husband exited the car with a cup in one hand and a gun in his other hand. He explained to the jury, that the only finger prints on the gun, were those of the arresting Officers. He researched and understood the protocol of what was supposed to take place when a weapon is discovered at the scene of a crime. The Officers did not follow the protocol. He captivated the jurors with his knowledge of the law and forensic examination. Because the gun had not been tested properly, Attorney NENYE UCHE put a sign on the gun that read, “TEST ME PLEASE”. He ingeniously articulated that the gun in question was not near my husband. Moreover, the Judge Sustained Attorney NENYE UCHE twenty (20) times more than he did the Prosecutors.  However, Attorney NENYE UCHE expertly, shrewdly, and skillfully explained to the Jury that they should stand their ground, and not be bullied and have the courage to do what was right because the State had not proved their case beyond a reasonable doubt. My husband is back with his family, we never gave up on him, and neither did Attorney NENYE UCHE. I ended up getting a DUI charge in December of 2015. (Christmas Eve as a matter of fact). And I was so nervous about getting a DUI for the first time ever in my life so i googled dui attorneys and out of the 3 attorneys i have talked to about my charge I've decided to hire him because he kept it real about how the process would go and his fees were reasonable. I have hired Nenye for two different cases that I had and he was amazing!!Once I was charged with a DUI for the use of marijuana and one of the police officers even testified in court that I told them I smoked earlier that day and that he smelled smoke in my car.Nenye calmly ask the officer had he been trained in Field sobriety testing,yes the officer responded.Nenye then asked,Did you give my client any test?No the officer responded.With no sobriety test,no blood or urine test the case was dismissed and my license were returned to me that very same day.The second case I was charged with UUW which in short is a gun case.I was pulled over in my van for a broken headlight and the officers ordered myself and the other six passengers out of the van at gun point.After searching the vehicle an officer produced two handguns.Charging me with UUW!Nenye got the arresting officer on the stand and proved that the officer did not know who of the seven people the guns belonged to!!He also proved that the officer didn't know me from my codefendant or how many people were in the vehicle.Nenye even went the extra step of finding case law that says just because the vehicle is mine doesn't mean I am aware or responsible for the contents of the vehicle!!I was found not guilty in a bench trial!!Thanks to Nenye Uche I am a free man!!
