And not knowing anyone who had got divorced or what to expect, I did not know where to turn or what was considered a normal proceedings. Elizabeth handled my Case for Child Custody. She provided the information I needed to meet with an attorney in another State to get the case brought back to Illinois. Had I not known about UCCJEA I would never had known that my case should be held in Illinois..Since my Child is an Illinois resident. Elizabeth and her staff were always available for my questions. I was very desperate to find an attorney, with my wife's attorney harassing me, and taking a combative stance in the divorce. I was given incorrect boiler plate documents to sign. Elizabeth did not try to understand or uphold the position that I wanted to take. I felt that she had many other cases and I was just one of the less important matters at hand. She gave me discounts, but the total amount paid was far more than the value.
