I admitted my 89 yrs mother into a what we thought was a top rated Nursing home & Rehad in Niles July 2020. She received little therapy, poor food quality & caught Covid in March from their staff. Mom unfortunately died there in April 2021. Through top referral to retain Levin & Perconti Law, I thoroughly explained & supplied them pertinent medical records re: mom's continual neglect, unhealed bed sores, poor nutrition & catching Covid that eventually caused her death in April 2021. I was assigned a true good experienced & professional attorney Julie A Murphy. She was thorough, investigative & s courteous attorney for the 9 months on my liable lawsuit with Nursing Home & their Insurance Co. Through Julie A Murphy efficient support staff, the Nursing Home insurance Co agreed to an out of court settlement of $75,000, less attorney fees, which I agreed to. We're currently awaiting the Insurance Co settlement check to go out soon Julie A Murphy was an excellent, efficient & a pleasure to frequently communicate with via text, e-mail & phone conversations, which she was always quick to respond! Nick Emerson of levin&Perconti was instrumental getting our case moving forward. His attention to details and concerns we had were met through his communications with us. Keeping us informed throughout the process. We never got to meet him in person, because he was given our case after the face to face depositions were done. We had the pleasure of dealing with Attorney Lauren Park in regard to injuries sustained by my husband during a nursing home stay. According to the TV ads, you would think this firm are advocates for nursing home problems. I have a slam dunk medical malpractice suit they passed on. I was asked when the "accident" happened. I explained there was no "accident", they (nursing home) completely dropped the ball with my care. I had been having problems with my right hip. The doctor I only saw TWICE in 4 months ordered an x-ray. In October, November AND December the insurance company asked for more information for a CT scan and/or an MRI to which they never supplied. Physical therapy was nonexistent. I checked myself out on Christmas Eve due to improper medical treatment. I wound up in another facility in February where I contracted Covid-19. I also had to have another surgery to repair loose hardware in my fused lumbar from being put in a sling as I was telling them NOT to. It curved my lumbar in a way that was opposite of the fusion. If I had proper care the first time I wouldn't have been put in harms way. I have all the documentation and witnesses to back this up. Also, was told they allegedly didn’t have the man power for the case. Congratulations to Levin & Perconti for being nothing but ambulance chasers that only take "accidents". Shame on you. Your ads are deceiving. Another firm took my unrelated hernia mesh case from 2012 of which you also passed on.
