My ex husband settled with me immediately when he saw I had “the big guns” on my side. These are the best lawyers in Chicago area. Get them before your spouse does!!

I was referred to this firm by a friend, and could not be more pleased with the entire experience with them. Specifically, Jason Sposeep and Christina Perez-Tineo were fantastic in handling the details of my divorce. They were professional and personable at every step, and they took the time to help explain the difficult parts that I didn’t understand. The rest of the staff were prompt and courteous as well. Going through the divorce was not something I wanted to experience, but I was extremely happy I had this team to help guide me through the process.

When my wife filed for divorce she was not willing to negotiate and wanted the maximum everything. It was shaping up as prolonged battle because I would not give in to extortion. Her first attorney immediately postured - threats came rolling in. She wanted all of it: child support for a 17 year old kid who was living with me, spousal support despite being employed and having graduate and professional degrees. I needed an lawyer who would not drag litigation for years. Jason Sposeep came highly recommended and from the first consultation I knew he was the right man for the job. Immediately he gave a realistic assessment of the situation: it would be an uphill battle because of long marriage, but we would not want to go to court, we want to settle and move on with our lives. The first time Jason’s team shined was when they recommended switching the judge. Jason correctly assessed the situation and acted accordingly. The second time Jason succeeded when my ex filed a motion to have me pay an alimony while living in the same house and not paying a dime in expenses while working. Jason team’s response was swift: only the facts and only the truth presented. The court sided with me. After she changed her attorney, her new counsel was not willing to collaborate either. From the get go they started filing senseless motions intended to manipulate. Jason was up for the challenge exposing machinations of the opposing counsel to the court. In addition to asking for alimony while still refusing to move out, she asked to sell the house when our child was still in high school and badmouthed me hoping to instill rift with my son. Jason’s team responded and each time the court denied her request. When she finally moved out, Jason helped preserve my exclusive possession of the marital residence. The ex continued to return to harass me and tried to take away our family dog. I was afraid she’d insinuate false domestic violence. With Jason’s help the court granted me excessive possession. If you have a soon to be ex with an inflated sense of entitlement, Jason is your man to deal with them. Jason recommended a well respected mediator. Unfortunately, my ex pulled out of mediation and preferred to go to court (I’m guessing at the advice of her attorneys since they’d be able to bill more). In response Jason suggested to set trial dates to put an end to this needlessly expensive and stressful ordeal - a definite end point was needed to prevent the other side milking the case indefinitely. The differences in trial preparations between SDF and the firm repressing my ex were evident: the other side made many mistakes such as putting our 18 year old son on the witness list, which greatly irritated the judge. Jason’s team never made such lapses of judgement that helped contain costs. Shortly before the trial we reached a deal. Jason made all attempts to prevent a large portion of the estate to be wasted on legal fees - if only my wife hired someone like Jason we could have settled much earlier! If you already have an attorney and your spouse needs one, have them call Jason. I ended not having to pay maintenance to the spouse who always worked outside of home and did not do more at home than I did. It sounds natural, but wait until you get into the court system... then you’ll need someone like Jason, his expertise and experience, as well as his legal team who also deserve much praise: Adam Miel Zebelian and Dominika Zakrewska. Moreover, Jason’s penmanship was superb. Probably few times in my life I saw such well structured written arguments prepared by Jason and his team member Adam Miel Zebelian in letters and motions. Quality of penmanship and factual accuracy can’t even begin to compare to what I saw coming form the other side. I would highly recommend Jason and his team if you need attorneys who will not waste your money, know judges, and would strive for the best outcome. Give Jason a call and see for yourself what his team can do for you. If I ever get married again, Jason is writing my pre-nup.

I am grateful for the honest, reliable and savvy expertise I could count on from Don Schiller and his firm. Don will tell you the truth and what to expect, even if it isn’t what you want to hear. Family law can be quite personal, challenging and potentially devastating. With Don and his team, the outcome can be the best possible given the law and situation. Don chooses his words carefully, so I recommend listening carefully and heeding his counsel. My only regrets from a painful time in my life are when I didn’t listen well enough. Don knows his business! He is the leader. I feel fortunate that his firm guided me along the way. Good luck.

In 2014, I went through one of the most difficult times in my life, I was faced with a divorce. Like everyone in that situation, I was confused, scared and unsure. I did not know the first thing about hiring a lawyer let alone talking to one. A good friend of mine told me to contact his attorney, Anita Ventrelli. He told me that even if I hired her for a one-hour consultation, it would make a world of difference and help give clarity to the situation. As I am writing this and thinking about it, in my most sincere and heartfelt matter, his words could not have rung truer. From the first moment I walked in her office, Anita was professional and compassionate. She helped me sort through and answer all of my questions. She explained the law to me and what to expect, and told me what I needed to do. I walked out of the office with a feeling of reassurance that things were going to be ok. Her experience and understanding of the law blew me away. She is amazing and I couldn't have been more happy with the outcome of my case. I have found Anita to be one of the kindest, most honest and good people that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Anita along with her entire firm, Schiller DuCanto, and Fleck are at what I deem the pinnacle of practicing law. Anita Ventrelli by far is the best family law attorney in the City of Chicago!

Do not hire this firm. They take all your money, play the game of going around and around, petition after petition with no resolution. He does not have your best interests at hand, I would make settlement agreements with my ex-husband and then the attorneys would disagree to disagree and drag it out for months and years! Charging you for every minute. A simple divorce with a very modest middle income family, cost me alone over $200,000 by the time it was finally over. I had to fire him in the middle of the mess and find another attorney. Absurd and devastating to say the least! Then they file a lien on your home which crushes your credit report. Its enough to go through the divorce let alone be abused by money hungry attorneys who do not care if they force you into bankruptcy.
