I read the other reviews and wished this was my experience. Mr. Moreno was rude and impatient. The process with him caused me stress and anxiety.

I hired Mr. Moreno for to help with an eviction. I've done this on my own once before and it was a nightmare. He helped walk me through the process and took care of everything in an orderly and professional manner. The case went through without a hitch.

I was very nervous about the whole process, but Mr. Moreno was very patient and answered all of my questions. I filed a Chapter 7 case with him and it all went very smoothly.

I needed to file a Chapter 7 bankruptcy case. I called around to get some price estimates. Most were around $1,000, plus the filing fee. A friend gave me Mr. Moreno's contact information. When I told him my debt situation (mainly credit cards, some hospital bills) he told me I had a fairly simple case. I ended up paying about half what the other attorney's wanted to charge and I was happy with how he worked with me.

Very good. He kept me in my place by defending my foreclosure for three years. Then, he helped me get rid of all my debt in a Chapter 7. Finally, he helped me get $8,000 from the bank to help me move. It was a rough few years but I, all things considered, I was happy with how he got me through it.

I went to Mr. Moreno when I was sued by a credit card company for about 14k. I was ready to file bankruptcy. When I contacted Mr. Moreno, he asked me about the total debt I have. I told him that the credit card was pretty much it. I had paid off most of my other bills. It was just that card I couldn't handle.
He said before I file for bankruptcy, we should see what if anything he could do about the credit card lawsuit. So instead of hiring him for the bankruptcy, I hired him to represent me in the lawsuit by the credit card company.
He told me they are rarely prepared to go to trial and will often dismiss a case if a Defendant pushes it to trial. That's what he did. First, he got the cases dismissed because they didn't have the credit card agreement. They just amended their complaint. He then set the case for trial.
When the case was called, the credit card company wasn't able to proceed and they dismissed the case. Mr. Moreno told me they had a year to re-file their case. It has been over two years and they never refiled the case.
So I was able to get rid of the credit card debt and not file bankruptcy. I was really happy. I think he is a great lawyer.

My husband and I went to Mr. Moreno for a Chapter 7 bankruptcy. We were nervous, but he explained everything and made us feel very comfortable with how the whole thing would work out. We filled out his forms and provided the documents he requested. We filed our case and everything went smoothly.
Mr. Moreno also represented us in our foreclosure and we were able to stay in our home for about three years after the bankruptcy. I never thought we would be able to stay that long.

I filed bankruptcy twice; once over ten years ago with another attorney, and then again about three years ago with Mr. Moreno. The difference was night and day.
The first guy charged me almost triple what I paid to Mr. Moreno and he was pretty difficult to work with. I found out recently that my old attorney got in trouble with the State bar so I guess now I know why he was so bad.
Anyway, I decided to go with someone new and found Mr. Moreno. He was really good about explaining everything to me and walking through the whole thing with me. We worked mainly through email. I emailed my paperwork to him and he emailed drafts to me. I didn't have to go to his office until I looked over the final draft and said everything was okay. Once I said everything was okay, then I went in to sign.
The whole thing went smoothly and I was really pleased, especially since my first attorney was such a jerk.

When I first came to Mr. Moreno for my case I was beside myself with stress and worry not knowing what my options were if any. He not only handled my case with the up most professionalism but he also put me at ease and took time to answer any questions I had no matter how mundane. He took a very stressful situation and gave me peace of mind. I have referred several friends to him because he made a stressful process so easy for me.

Mr. Moreno did my Chapter 7 a few years back. I just saw this site and thought I'd add my two cents.
I had a bunch of credit card debt, some student loans and some medical bills. I wasn't making a lot so I called around to a couple of different bankruptcy attorneys. Mr. Moreno charged about half of what the other attorneys were looking for. I paid $500 for his fee and about $300 for the filing fee. The other people I called wanted at least a thousand for their fee.
He was really helpful and straightforward. He explained the whole thing to me, sent me drafts of my bankruptcy petition through email so I could look it over on my time rather than make an appointment and go over everything. He told me to take my time so we could get it right the first time and was always good about answering my questions. (He preferred questions through email, which worked for me).
That said, the price was the clincher for why I went to him. I know people in similar circumstances to me who filed Chapter 7s too and they paid a lot more.
This guy was good, fast and, best of all, cheap.

I am a single mother with two children. Several years ago I went through some very tough times financially. I lost my job, then my ex-husband stopped making child support payments.
I began getting debt collection letters and was sued by a couple of credit card companies. My divorce attorney recommended Mr. Moreno. Not only was Mr. Moreno able to help me with a Chapter 7 bankruptcy (which he did at about half the cost I was quoted from one of the TV bankruptcy attorneys in town), he was also then able to help with my foreclosure case, which is still going on.
I know because my income has been reduced so much I won't be able to keep my home, but Mr. Moreno has been able to at least buy me time. The house has been in foreclosure now for about two years. In that time I was able to find full time temp work and able to resolve my child support issues. I'm hopeful that things may finally be stabilizing.
Without Mr. Moreno, I have no idea where I would be now. He's given me the time and the space to keep looking for work and to slowly but surely get back on my feet. He's been great.
