My dcfs appeal and the events leading up to it were a very stressful and trying time for myself and my family. I had a lawyer and was overpaying for little to no communication and information. When I contacted Ms. Hawkins she was attentive and very informative about my options before I even hired her. She didn't baby or coddle but was assertive and to the point. After hiring her she kept me informed of all goings on and asked for approval before making any decisions. It was a long drawn out process and she was busy with other clients but normally tried to get bk with me as soon as possible to answer questions I had. It smtms wasn't the answer I wanted but that life. There were times I questioned weather I made the right choice but when my hearing came up she did a fantastic job being prepared and getting all the points across that were relevant. She had the detective and the caseworker studdering for not doing any follow up of details and just out right not doing there job.

Mrs. Hawkins and her staff are great to work with. I worked with her on two different occasions and each one she did great.

There very understanding they have patience

I hired her to defend me while trying to get custody of my son and everything we talked about she sent to the mother of the child I was taking to court. Then had the nerves to ask for more money. It’s a lot worst than this. This is when I decided enough was enough

Deborah has been in the process of representing someone in my family throughout Covid, and her expertise is much appreciated. With courts being closed, it has proven invaluable to have someone who knows the process.

I just would not recommend. Especially with regards to having any kind of care toward your case specially. So not retain for custody matters. She decided the day of my case that she would not move forward representing me the day of my motion to reconsider. She’s just unable to prepare and listen to you exactly in regards to your matter. Just skip over her regardless of what anyone else suggests.

We were in desperate need of a fast acting attorney because of a deadline we were up against in a family matter. Deborah was indeed that attorney for us, she worked tirelessly and diligently to assist us with our case. Often she had little time to respond to objections from opposing council, she came through every time. Deborah was very informative of where the case currently stood, along with explaining our different options for ways to proceed with our case. We wouldn’t have came out of our case with a positive result if it wasn’t for Deborah’s vast knowledge of the law. We would want her on our team every time!

Natalie Bower Quits! Natalie represented me in a divorce and drug it out over two just to keep racking up the costs. Over $17k+ and two years later it was time for our last court date to determine financial/asset/property division and Natalie Bower QUIT!! She withdrew from the case leaving me all alone and no choice but to represent myself. It was a disaster. My ex and her lawyer asked for everything and won. It is unethical to quit a case at the end. She should be disbarred. She has no right to be a lawyer and and take advantage of someone. DO NOT use Natalie Bower nor this firm. They will take your money and leave you broke. I am filing a formal complaint with the bar. She should be disbarred!!!!

Deborah Hawkins runs an incredibly unprofessional office. She's almost never on time, her office is extremely cluttered and she has no idea where any of her client information is half the time. Shes extremely hostile to her employees and doesn't care if she raises her voice while clients are in attendance. In my opinion she really is in this just for the money. She only cares about herself and how she can make another dollar.
