WOW!!! Dustin is such a talented attorney. If I had to describe Dustin in three words they would be: punctual, responsive, and personable. No one ever wants to be in a situation where they need to retain a family law attorney. Thankfully, I found Dustin through the recommendation of a close friend. My situation was different than most, my son spends his time with me in Central Illinois and also with his mom in Madison County. Even though this distance existed I honestly felt as if I had a local advocate in Dustin. Dustin had a significant family event on a Tuesday evening before a Wednesday morning court appearance. Instead of asking for a continuance from the judge (which based on the event would have certainly been granted) Dustin was in court for my case 5 minutes early! I found this impactful as the opposing counsel was over 10 minutes late to the hearing. I would HIGHLY recommend Dustin for a personalized approach to any family law legal matter. If your experience is anything like mine, you will NOT feel as if you are simply another number with a "high powered" attorney with an equally high retainer. Rather, you will get someone whose knowledge is impressive in both breath and depth. Most importantly you will have someone who actually cares. I would highly recommend Dustin. I was awarded temporary custody because of Dustin's hard work and knowledge. Dustin always returned my phone calls in a timely manner and included me in my own case unlike other attornies had done. My case is near its end and Dustin helped me in obtaining what I wanted. First off, let me start by saying I began a custody dispute last year with another family law lawyer, and absolutely nothing was done by that individual. No personal contact, not listening to what I wanted/needed, and only a concern for himself and his practice. It seemed like I was stuck paying a lawyer that wasn't concerned with what was the best interest of my child, instead he was more interested in financial gain for himself. That was until a good friend of mine, who also went through a long custody battle after divorce and won thanks to Dustin, gave me Dustin's conact information. From the beginning Dustin was cordial, inviting, and very adamant about what was best for my child. He had experienced first hand what a child being deprived from time with his father can do to a child and he was going to do everything in his power to make sure that didn't happen to my child. He worked hard every chance he had and stayed in constant contact with me every step of the way. He knew what I wanted and what was best for my child and he worked to get it. Not only in the end did I get more time with my child but I also came to an agreement with my child's mother and we both signed a joint parenting agreement that was not only beneficial for my child but for both of us as well. Dustin did what he told me he was going to do and didn't stop until he achieved it. He's a great guy personally and someone who looks at every aspect of his case, what beneficial for his client, what he knows he needs to do, and he doesn't stop until he achieves it. I'm also going to use him in an adult adoption case between my stepfather and I that has been long overdue. I would refer Dustin to any father or anyone in that matter who is looking for a trustworthy, hardworking, goal orientated lawyer who will work tooth and nail to get what's best for his client and their families.
