Honest, diligent & great law practice!

I met with Mr. Hoffenberg to discuss a conflicted and mismanaged estate closing for which I was a 25% stakeholder. Several lawyers and stakeholders were involved and made matters worse. Mr. Hoffenberg relentlessly worked to make sure I received my share in spite of many estate conflicts and closing of property associated with it. Ian answered my questions thoroughly and returned calls in a timely fashion--emails as well. I found him to be emphatic to my stress involving not receiving my share of this sale. I would always refer him to anyone that needed an excellent lawyer

Unfortunately, I don’t recommend Ian. I’ve never worked with anyone that is so rude and condescending. I felt like I was an inconvenience to him even though I was his client and was paying for his services. As a first time seller, I felt unsupported and had very little guidance on the day of my closing. Areian, his assistant, however, was wonderful to work with. I actually felt more comfortable communicating with him with my questions and concerns.

Ian was wonderful in our closing today. It was a complicated deal, with many issues and he handled it with pose and professionalism. This is the third closing that Ian has done for me with two commercial deals (with complicated LLCs) and now a personal closing. He is very knowledgeable, prompt, and through. I would recommend him to anyone with a high end real estate deal in Chicago as he is great!

I could have given zero stars if it was possible. I hired Ian to recover my valuables from my ex husband for that he charged me $750 to send a "14 days notice letter". After receiving this letter a man claimed to be my ex`s uncle called Ian and told him that they won't return anything because they don't have anything and also this Fake uncle added so many other lies. Ian didn't verify any information given by this uncle but he asked me to back off and leave them alone and forget about my valuables too. Ian completely discouraged me to fight this case any further. I wasn't expecting my lawyer to believe in my opponents' story just like that when I had all the facts to cut those lies. He is extremely rude as he told me on phone that "its frustrating to talk to me" because I had so much of information as my case is very complicated. So, if not to my lawyer then to whom should I have shared the information regarding my case?! At this point, I felt extremely disappointed and discouraged and later my ex told me that I hired a clown who got sold to them. So, please don't hire this lawyer if you want to stay motivated and fight for your rights. You won't even get close to justice with this lawyer. Stay away and find something else.
