terrible attitude very disrespectful and poor communication

Attorney Peggy Raddatz is a first-class family law attorney. I recommend her services unreservedly. To substantiate my recommendation, I will share three points from my experience in working with Ms. Raddatz. First, as noted by numerous other reviewers, Ms. Raddatz is very responsive. Even whenshe is unable to turn her attention immediately to my questions, she responds that she has noted my question and that she will turn to it at her earliest opportunity. Second, Ms. Raddatz is direct, honest, and frank with her clients. While it can be difficult to learn and accept the harsh realities of family courts, it is better to understand the facts of the case and what can be done to work towards the best outcome for one's children. Ms. Raddatz always explains what is realistic, what is sensible, and what is out of the question. This knowledge and expertise are indispensable. Third, Ms. Raddatz endeavors to achieve an 'Agreed Order' for her clients. This means working with the opposing counsel to negotiate an order to which both parties agree, and the Judge simply signs off on that order. This avenue is much more beneficial than showing up to court without having done the due diligence of working towards a solution. Judges generally look favorably upon parties that do the hard work of reaching an agreement prior to court. In addition, Ms. Raddatz's paralegal, Ginger, has been immensely helpful in assisting with various administrative matters for my case. If and when additional issues arise that require a family law attorney, I rest assured knowing that I can work with Ms. Raddatz to resolve these issues expeditiously and effectively.

I found Peggy after googling and reading about 100+ reviews. She was very helpful in making everything very straightforward and simple. Many times I wanted to put super specific language in there to address potential fears of mine but 99% of the time, they were items that weren't enforceable, were already covered by law, or were things she encouraged I keep a more open mind about. She spends a ton of time in the courtroom, is familiar with all the Cook County judges, and has decades of experience so I appreciated how black and white she made things. Peggy is very direct and concise. In our initial interview, she cut me off a time or two because I was apparently talking more than listening. At first, I was turned off by it (even though it was true lol) but I immediately saw it as an advantage with opposing counsel and I was 100% correct about that. If you're a person who likes control or is long-winded and isn't used to constructive feedback, consider this an opportunity to work on that because I actually quickly grew out of the experience. She has only 100% of your best interest at heart and I could tell that during the interview. She was also very personable, and I really appreciated how well she could relate to my situation. We had several really good discussions not only as attorney/client but also as single parents; she's further ahead in this process than me and really opened my eyes in a few areas (*cough* giving them mobile phones when they get older *cough*). As a techie, I was looking for more digital redlining, PDF editing etc but we did most everything via email modifications. It ended up being ok and made it super easy for me to search for emails with any changes that were made. She's always available via text but please don't misuse that or else she'd never have time to get things done; she (or her paralegal) is super responsive via email as well. Cost-wise, pay the flat fee upfront and you will save $10K minimum easily and my situation was pretty straightforward and easy in comparison to most people. I had a great experience and outcome in my divorce proceedings and would recommend Peggy to handle things.

Peggy was amazing throughout the entire time she was my lawyer. I switched to her after researching and seeing all the positive reviews and after my previous lawyer would take days to weeks to even respond. Peggy always responded promptly and same day. She even went so far as to message me that she was in court and gave me a time where she would respond to my message so as to not keep me anxiously waiting. She was always incredibly kind. Peggy has handled my cousins divorce, who had nothing but praise for her and the fact that he got shared custody of kids, return life back to semi normal was priceless. Unfortunately my own divorce happened earlier, with a different lawyer. And while it got concluded, I did not feel like I have someone on my side in a costly case. Few years later 2 of my 3 kids reached 18 and I hired Peggy for a child support adjustment (as college expenses now became my primary concern). What a difference from day one. Peggy took care of the court, efficiently ran the case, with no drama getting the issue resolved better than I ever hoped. Then year later my 17 year old youngest one decides he does not want to live with mom and wants to live with dad (which requires registering him at the new school district, taking care of custody, and dealing with uncooperative ex). And all that usually stressful situation where you want to make sure that your child is not impacted, I felt very little to no stress. Because I had Peggy on my side. For every twist and complication she had a solution, and the issue got settled. All I can tell you is that if you are going through these situations you need people like Peggy in your corner. And those type of folks are rare.

I was at the end of the line, so deep in debt, there was no way out for me, so I decided to give Sam a call. He was very clear from the beginning about the steps to follow in order to present my case. We did fill out the paperwork, and at the court, it was all over under 6 minutes. Fantastic, I would highly recommend to give Sam a call if you are in financial trouble and are in need of bankruptcy advise. Sam is the best Attorney to go to regarding bankruptcy, I know him for over 15 years.

I came to Ms. Raddatz with a complicated divorce involving domestic violence. She was very knowledgeable and confident in taking up my case. She is keenly aware of many nuances in a complicated case, since Ms. Raddatz works exclusively in family law.. Her work ethics are impeccable, she is quick to respond and always on time for court. A fixed fee agreement eliminated the nickel and diming and I did not have to worry about every interraction with my attorney. We have had very good results as well.
