Weak communication all the way up to the court date! And the day of court , I was in person at the Mchenry court house and JP was at home on Zoom. Didn’t even support me in court in person! Final Result was a very one sided judgement and none of my assets were protected or split equally. Very disappointing outcome.

Family law is tough and for months I’ve debated about how to write a review for JP that didn’t insult any of the parties involved. Not everyone is going to get what they want and I’ve wanted to be sure to be sensitive to that. Especially with children involved. I was lucky to find JP. My situation wasn’t an easy one to navigate. He was there to help usher my family and I through some difficult times. These things don’t always have a definitive ending and he has continued to be there for us even after the judgement. I don’t know that he will ever know how much I appreciate the work he’s done and continues to do. Thank you JP and Mary Ann

JP had some good advice. But unfortunately, he failed to listen to my concerns with the allocation judgement. He became very defensive with my feedback and voluntarily withdrew from my case. Luckily, everything turned out okay. My daughter is safe, and her father doesn’t want to spend much time with her. I was still able to divorce on my original set date after JP and I parted ways. Diamond Legal’s receptionist is super sweet and helpful. They are lucky to have her. I found Maryann not as helpful and approachable-she didn’t really answer my questions or feel like she wanted to help. I would cc her in emails to make sure JP reviewed them. Unfortunately, the most important email I sent to both they never responded. I luckily went with an attorney who listens, but I did almost hire an awful attorney out of Marengo named Paula Rieghns who likes to drag on cases. My poor friend is still going through a very expensive divorce because of her poor advice and lack of preparation. I highly recommend people interview several attorneys and make sure it’s the one you will be working directly. Unfortunately, I failed to interview JP directly, and had an interview with Sam I believe- he seemed to be very knowledgeable and experienced. Accurately predicted my case outcome.

This is an awesome firm! I am active duty military and stationed in Japan. I googled many firm and no one was willing to assist me because I wasn’t local. After many late nights I finally contact Diamond’s and they was like they will take me as a client. They got the job done and they upfront and honest. This is military friendly firm and I would highly recommend Diamond’s to friends and my fellow service members. Thank you

This firm is unethical and they take your money

I witnessed an extremely unprofessional interaction with JP today. I joined a phone call with one of his clients and after they asked him an informed question JP asked if they had talked to another attorney that he needed to know as this would influence how he proceeded with the case. Client had researched on google, regardless this was out of line for him to ask. Client proceeded to share concerns that he had not addressed the client’s previous repeated requests in addressing certain serious issues, JP completely dismissed this. After the client shared that they felt dismissed true to form JP dismissed this and said that the client was wrong for feeling how they felt. The client had sought JPs help due to positive reviews, however JP was dismissive of serious concerns, JP was unempathic, and incredibly defensive when provided with feedback. JP abandoned the client during a time of great need and has submitted a withdrawal letter due to his inability to handle constructive feedback. JP is unprofessional and behaved in a careless manner that now puts his client at great risk as they do not have an attorney because he retaliated due to being unable to handle feedback. Shame on you JP
