I would HIGHLY recommend Jeffrey VanDyke if you would like some peace of mind and value not leaving your adult children with a mess on their hands upon your death! Jeff made the process of implementing a trust completely understandable and walked me through the process with kindness and patience! He answered every question I had quickly and throughly. Because he actually took the time to educate me to the process, I have been able to chat with my adult children about the importance of starting this process for themselves. Jeff Van Dyke is a wonderful, caring attorney that my husband and I were incredibly lucky to find in 1993. He prepared our wills and assisted with estate planning. In 2014, my husband died after a long battle with cancer. The first person I called was Jeff. He agreed to meet with me right away. My heart was racing when I walked into his office. Jeff immediately made me feel at ease. I felt calmer after only a few minutes, knowing that he’d be there to walk me through the daunting tasks ahead. Jeff is honest, highly professional and knowledgeable in his field. He patiently answers every question and never rushes through an appointment. With the assistance and advice of Jeffrey Van Dyke, we recently completed an Estate and Health Care Plan. With his up-to-date knowledge of Illinois and Federal law and clear and patient explanations, Jeffrey was able to take a complicated process and make it understandable. Jeffrey promptly communicated discussion points; "to-do" tasks; and answered questions and provided timelines to meet. Although we were, by necessity, talking about uncomfortable topics and future scenarios, it was easy to work with Jeffrey as he guided us to our final documents.

In 2013 we first worked with Jeff to draw up our estate documents and now 10 years later we just finished an update to our original documents. We just will not go to anyone else. We can trust Jeff to take the time needed to give us good counsel. It’s been obvious to us that he is a man of integrity.
