Sean McCumber represented me as the court appointed GAL for my divorce case. I found him to be fair, professional, and truly caring about the well being of my three children. I engaged with this firm in Oct 2014. In TWO months I was billed 35K! I then parted ways with this firm for several reasons of which I will cover some of the details below. For several years I was going to leave a review but figured that I am divorced now and no reason to revisit my poor experience with Raiford Palmer. On numerous occasions the Judge handling our case showed extreme bias to me, actually saying "That I have no credibility in this courtroom" (among many other issues) -although at that time I had never even spoken and the Judge didn't know me at all. I demanded that Mr Palmer file a complaint against this Judge (on several occasions) - and his response was "I have to work in this building for a very long time" Putting his interests ahead of his clients. We all want to be treated fairly in a courtroom. It was evident that I most certainly was not. I came to find that this Judge had a definite bias against men in divorce cases and had several similar complaints. Fast forward FIVE YEARS! I received an invoice for $17,000 for unpaid services! I parted ways and there was no balance due. Not a word from his firm until I received a summons FIVE YEARS LATER. $52,000 in billing for 90 days of representation? That is insane. I cant say enough about Abeer and having her advocate for me during a very difficult situation. Being behind on child support due to chronic health issues and the inability to work full-time to keep up caused a strenuous situation that seemed like it would never end. Abeer's ability to stay focused on the law, steady under chaos of the opposing parties and overall professionalism through the whole process was not only impressive, but kept me hopeful even during some intense times.
