Only hire Doman if you want to get charged lots of money and have your divorce extended forever. He over bills again...and again...and again. 3k to do a financial disclosure....sigh. What a waste

I first procured the services of Michael based on glowing referrals from two family members who also used his services for their divorces. He is a straight-forward, no nonsense professional that hits the gates running from the onset of the case and doesn't slow down. He is very thorough and attentive through-out the whole process. He communicates well and is always available by phone or email. I recently had to revisit the terms of a completed divorce (where MD represented me) and the thought of hiring a different lawyer never crossed my mind. If you find yourself needing an advocate during one of the most stressful moments in your life, there is no one more knowledgeable and thorough than Michael.

Michael took his time to understand my situation his staff was beyond excellent as far as trying to help me get the answers and questions together very professional staff and a very well educated attorney who makes sure all the papers are in order and very good in the court room would recommend him to anyone

Michael Doman represented me in my divorce. Though this experience was very difficult, trying and exhausting Doman provided an excellent synopsis in my early conference with him. An expert is someone who can explain a difficult subject and process with ease and Michael did so to me. Michael completely understood opposing counsel and their approach and stayed on point while opposing law firms changed. In fact, Michael was all over opposing counsel attempting to lengthen procedures practically every step of the way. Michael crafted and articulated an uncanny, successful strategy. His greatest asset his personal time seemed always available and his return call policy was expedient. Being a sole practitioner made me feel like I was his only and most important client never secretly being moved to another junior attorney like large firms routinely do. One appreciates Michael's honesty, integrity and high level of professionalism unlike many others in the Cook County system. He fought for me with complete devotion. As you can imagine, I felt very confident during those approximate monthly "official" court dates. Anxiety was at a maximum while we met opposing counsel and the judge. Michael dressed well with confidence and success and was consistently early to court room and needless to say, over prepared. He anticipated their strategy and then spoke clearly while trying to move case along. This was very reassuring. At one point his excellent lawyering placed opposing counsel in contempt of court! Michael's fees were fair and timely with no surprises. Further many affluent friends recommend him because they feel the same way I do. I have nothing but praise, appreciation for his hard working, no nonsense devoted approach. He ascertains honesty and integrity and has an excellent knowledge of family law. Under these circumstances it is rather easy to endorse Michael Doman.

Nothing more emotional than going through a divorce, especially when children are involved. I'm thankful I found Michael to guide me through this process. He knows the law and knows how to require the other side to play by those rules. He is no-nonsense, an intensely strong presence in court and a true advocate for your side. I was surprised at how available he was throughout the process. Although he is managing numerous cases, he always seemed to remember the particulars of my situation. His staff was extremely helpful and attentive as well. Don't expect "therapy" from Michael, that's not what you're paying him for... but certainly expect results.

I am recommending The Law Offices of Michael P. Doman to anyone who wants a professional and trustful attorney’s help. Legal representation is a business and clients can certainly feel like the whole system is skewed unfairly against them. Michael understands this and does an excellent job of mitigating the emotional and financial turmoil of a prolonged legal matter where others would just get by punching the clock.
