My wife and I had purchased an new vehicle in the spring of 2016 and though it rated very well it had a number of issues where the vehicle was in the shop over 30 days in the first 8 months including a failure that left the vehicle incapacitated. We tried going though the dealership, manufacturer and other avenues to try to get a replacement or buyback as this car was a plagued with issues and untrustworthy but hit walls at every turn. Out of desperation I clicked on a "Lemon Law" lawyer button you often ignore and it turned out to be the best decision I could have made. I was contacted within minutes to discuss the situation and that person set up a call with a local team for Krohn & Moss Ltd/Consumer Law Center for the next day. From the start everyone I worked with was kind and supportive. They fielded every question honestly setting realistic expectations as to how things would proceed, timelines and eventual outcome. Everything they said came to pass exactly as they stated it would... very impressive! Over the next 6 months I was kept updated and when I had questions they were quick to respond thoughtfully and with details. We purchased a Ford Explorer new at the dealership. After almost 3 years of ownership we had the vehicle in for service a total of 80+ days. We hired Krohn & Moss to represent us and settled our case against Ford. They were responsive, professional, knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We purchased a Ford 350 D July 2016 and within six months we began to have problems with the truck. We completely loss brake and steering abilities. My husband saw the steering fluid was below the minimum line and the power break fluid was normal. We took the truck back to the dealership and they were surprised we loss the ability to stop the truck. The dealership had the truck for one week, fix the truck and told us everything checked out okay; letting us know there was a crack in the power steering housing unit. Within a 1000 miles from the first incident, my husband was pulling out of the driveway and again the power steering and breaks went out! Once again, the power steering fluid was below minimum and the break fluid was normal. So why did we loose breaks? The dealership had the truck for three weeks; replacing the hydro-booster. We found out the hydro-booster supplies power to steering and breaks; we feel this is a manufacture design defect. We were concerned we had purchased a lemon and began to look for a reputable Attorney. We found Krohn & Moss, Ltd. We spoke to John Baker in the California office and he felt we had a case. Within four months of signing the contract with Krohn & Moss, Ltd. we had settled with Ford Motor Company. We wanted to be made whole and Krohn & Moss, Ltd. were able to do the for us.

My new car starting shuddering and making a loud grinding sound during acceleration several months after I bought it. I tried numerous times to get it repaired with two different dealers, only to be told that the shuddering and noise was within normal operating specifications (complete nonsense as far as I'm concered). Meanwhile, the car continued to get worse. I finally decided to contact Scott's firm to file a Lemon Law case after I was told for the fourth or fifth time that nothing was wrong with my car. I'm very happy I chose to go with Scott Cohen's firm. One of my biggest worries prior to filing suit was that I'd get tripped up with all the forms I'd have to fill out, but Scott and his associate John Barker clearly explained what I needed to do during each step and made it all as painless as possible for me. Throughout the whole process, the manufacturer tried to drag everything out as long as possible. During that time, Scott kept me informed of everything that was happening and what the most likely next step would be. A few months before the trial date, we had a mediation in which the manufacturer made a much higher settlement offer than they had made previously; an offer which included Scott's legal fees. The case could have been over there and Scott would have gotten his fees paid, but he counseled me that I should hold out for a higher offer, even though that was putting his own payment in jeopardy. That moment truly spoke to Scott's integrity and made it clear that he was putting my interests above his. In the end, we reached a settlment a few days before trial and I got 33% more than I originally thought the best case scenario would be. I noticed a few of the other reviews here gave Scott's firm a low score because of his fees. I think those reviews are unfair, and the authors may have misunderstood how legal fees work in this situation. Scott works on retainer, so his fees are only to be paid if the case settles or if he wins a trial. When a settlment offer is made, it will specify whether or not the offer includes paying the plaintiff's legal fees, and the plaintiff (not Scott) chooses whether to accept or not. If a settlement does not include the legal fees, then the plaintiff is responsible for paying their lawyer out of their settlement. Prior to starting the case, Scott explained that I should only accept a settlement offer if it includes his legal fees because otherwise I'd be responsible for paying him directly. Scott stressed this point to me each time a settlement offer was made. The eventual settlement included Scott's fees, and also an amount for myself that I was quite happy with.

I am so so happy that i choose this Law firm... they were on top of my case the whole way... They kept in constant contact and explained everything pretaining to my case in detail making sure i understood everything fully and clearly... going thru a process like this can be very nerve racking but i did not feel intimidated or nervouse at all with all the help and patience i recieved from their team...I won my case and i am very grateful for all the hard work they went thru for me...
