I was very pleased with Ms. Bennett and her staff. My divorce was a difficult time for me, as I imagine it is for most. Throughout the entire process, from initial consultation through to the last day in court, Maggie was professional, knowledgeable, thorough, and caring. Divorce, when you have children can be quite challenging. I was dealing with an extremely difficult situation with my ex husband regarding my decision to relocate my children. Mr. Bennett facilitated an agreement that both parties found acceptable. My move went smoothly and our transition has been amazing. I hired Bennett Law Firm to handle my custody case over my child with my exboyfriend. Amy was absolutely amazing with making me feel comfortable and took the time to explain each step of the process with me. She always got back to me via e-mail (which was my preferred method of contact) very quickly and answered every question that I would have. My ex and his lawyer tended to be less than cordial toward us and Amy handled every situation with class. She was unwavered by their aggressive tactics and always kept mine and my son's best interest in mind. When mediation and attempting to settle did not work, we began to prep for a trial; this is when Marc joined our team. In the end, I was fortunate that on trial day my ex decided to finally agree to what we had been proposing nearly the whole time in regard to custody/parenting time etc. If we had gone to trial, I feel that the outcome would have been the same because I had a top notch team that was extremely thorough and well prepared. I reached out to Mr. Bennett while serving in Korea in order to start my divorce process. I have not met or even dealt with a more professional man who took the time and dedication that Mr. Bennett did in order to help me out. Ms. Schellekens instilled confidence from the very beginning. At our first meeting she gave me a big picture look of the divorce process and then broke it down into smaller pieces for me. Ms Bennett and team has been extremely helpful in ressolving my difficult divorce case. Unfortunately after ten years of marriage and a child, I had to get a divorce and it was ungly. With the help from Ms. Bennett's firm, we tried to mediate and use collaboratory tactics. After many conservatory approached failed, we moved on to the court trial. The case initially ended, "fairly" as standard as one would expect in the State of Illinois. Then there was second trial due to another claim from my greedy-crazy Ex. Even through latter case was very much more challenging, Ms. Bennett and staff was able to pull me through to the end! Overall, the lawyers and staff are very courteous, knowledgeable, & powerful. They are not only supportive but will go full force legally if need be. I recommend them very highly.
