First of let me make disclosure - I am on opposite side of this law firm in divorce case, and this law firm did win against me to get full custody to his client (my ex) , frankly mostly thanks to my own mishandling the case and gross errors by lower municipal level court, which I am appealing.
My review is not about how these lawyers performed during the case (It will not be objective obviously), but to educate potential client and adversaries how they work to help them make better informed decision and handle case against this firm.
To the people who is considering hiring them, be prepared to have your case tied up more than at least a year (From what I learned my own case and couple of others, which were simple case). My case is still going on and will go on given the attitude of this firm trying to mint as much as they can (2.5+ years pending appeal after parody of "trial", it was total joke), but this is not about only my case, which I admit I had my own mistakes in handling and underestimating fraud and greediness of ex-wife and her relatives and hiring some bad attorneys. One of my relatives hired this firm, wanted to make agreement with his ex-wife right away, but I was told N. Hussain did not reply satisfactorily, continued with unnecessary motions and paperwork, prepared for trial and just before trial settled the case in one hour, which he told me could have been done right at the beginning, but his simple case with no-kids, no significant asset took 1.5+ year cost him tens of thousands of dollars. Like other review said excuse for non-response and long process given was that he has dozens of clients, why you take the case if you cannot handle, right? I also heard Naveed Husain was advising him to slander his wife in the court, which he rightfully refused.
Now more disturbing part is how he grossly disregard laws, does anything to win his case without regard to children or loss for his own client by misleading court and other attorneys and fail to check facts to get ahead in games. Both these guys are excellent in misleading (Claiming something as court order when it plain and simple not). He filed motion on behalf of ex-wife (or rather he advised her or as ex said she signs whatever he prepares, all motions are his own claims then?) accusing me of conviction of serious charge by claiming this is from the court. They were forced to take back that motion (I wish my attorney obtained cease and desist order from the court instead of just warning cease and desist letter). Using a case from different court and attributing something which that court has not said or ruled in different court is against ABA professional rules also and it is unethical too.
He filed fee petition asking court to pay from the marital retirement fund costing estate 50% more in tax and penalties instead of advising his client she could pay him from asset she had and later declared and avoid tax on the asset. GAL helped him in the court for his fee petition, which is very inappropriate.
Most troubling aspect was ex-wife's spying on children's phones (suggestion Hussain or GAL most likely- such coercion to minors would be illegal and unethical) and use my strict message to them in court as evidence against me essentially grossly using kid against her parent. Yes, it helped him win the case and ex-wife getting custody, not sure how good it will be for the children.
For potential client, educate yourself on legal process and know attorneys are your hired professional and cannot and should not do something you don't want to do. You can reach out to your ex if you want and ok to do it, ask for mediation at first, attorneys will threaten with worst case and withdrawing from the case, but they are obligated to listen to your request and if not, you can always file malpractice lawsuit or make complaint to ARDC.
To opposite party against this attorney, be on watch out for games and attempts to mislead and if he is first to file petition in one specific judge's court room, know that you can file counter petition and ask for different judge.

His bogus legal advise in my divorce were only intended to lengthen the process and cost me a fortune in legal fees. A responsive attorney but not trustworthy. Look elsewhere for a divorce attorney.

I received very professional and thorough services by the team at Farooqi & Husain. Naveed Husain helped me draft and update my Last Will and Testament. I wasn’t familiar at all with this process, but he provided me with helpful legal advice throughout this process to make me feel comfortable. Additionally, he made himself available through safe and reasonable means during the current pandemic to take care of me. Thank you for everything!

Worked with Attorney Husain to draft my last will and testament. What an amazingly professional experience. His calm demeanor and professionalism really make him stand out. I’m also working with Attorney Husain on an estate. I highly recommend this firm for all of your personal, civil and business legal needs.
