He's the best and his assistant Sonia is outstanding

I had a psychopath neighbor who told various lies in court when he tried to sue me. August was well-prepared and made sure that my neighbor couldn't use his usual tricks. He kept the costs reasonable and the psycho was forced to quit his lawsuit.

I hired Mr Staas to handle my divorce and he did an excellent job navigating through the pandemic and a very uncooperative spouse. No details but by advising me to be patient I got everything I asked for, and the judge commended him at the end for his work on a difficult, sad situation.

He is greedy and lazy and has drinking problem Each time he was late to the court and unprepared.. I hired him for my divorce case and he even irritated the Judge.. don’t hire him and RUN…

Mr. Staas handled my divorce case. Throughout the process, I found him responsive, patient and very knowledgeable about family law. He does not sugarcoat facts though, so sometimes I felt like crying and even angry at him, but at the same time he is very supportive and will fight for your best interests. I highly recommend him.

Mr. Staas is a money hungry lazy person.. I can't call him a lawyer because he will do absolutely nothing.. if you have an amicable divorce it's different but if you want child support or alimony or divisions of assets. Forget him! Division of assets? He will not even bother 2 minutes to look up value of your home online forget about the rest.. you will lose everything .. seriously that bad.. he comes to courts 1 hour late and totally Unprepared...

Mr. Staas has provided legal assistance to me several times over the past 15 years. On a personal level he has helped me with a parenting agreement and was able to resolve an extremely complicated inheritance situation with my Spanish aunt that involved three states and two countries. On a professional level, he assisted a grassroots not-for-profit organization in which more than 80 volunteers (including myself) and staff sued the board of directors for control of the organization. With this case, he gave us countless hours in pro bono assistance over two years. In all of these instances, Mr. Staas was a sympathetic advocate, an objective and unflappable strategist, and an honest, forthright adviser. Every case had a positive outcome. I have recommended him to friends and I would hire him again without a second thought.

Without going into any of the specifics about my need for an attorney, I'm glad I found Mr. Staas when I did. Not only did he provide the legal expertise needed to resolve my situation, he also provided "common sense" guidance as well. Very important! He seems to have a "knack" for knowing what the "legal issues" are, and provides a clear and understandable vision of it. By the way, I found him very easy to be with and to have represented me in court. Since then I have referred him to a co-worker of mine and his feedback was nothing short of a huge "thank you" for my doing so. I would not hesitate to do so again! Highly recommended!

Mr. Staas handled my divorce several years ago with accurate advice and timely preparation of the necessary documents for the court appearance. Mr Staas did a great job for me on a very high profile and very complex case, it lasted over 3 years, with tons of problems from my x wife. Mr Staas did a great job for me, he even brought in another Lawyer to help with moving case from the subs. to the chicago , where i got a more then fair judge I would say he is the best Lawyer i ever hired !
