We hired Jennifer Ernest in March of 2020 when my mother-in-law passed in Florida to help sell MIL's condo in Illinois. Initially, Jennifer indicated no probate required. We listed the property, obtained a buyer and a week before closing Jennifer determined we, in fact, needed to probate in both Florida and Illinois. The short story of a year long process is, we filed in both states at over $4000 in costs. During this process, we not only lost our buyer but continued to pay monthly expenses on the condo. Jennifer was impossible to get in touch with, not returning calls or emails. There is no one in the office accepting phone calls. All you can do is leave message after message. Her attitude was very unprofessional, at one point asking me why I was so upset when I'd be getting a "big payday" one day (her words). When she dropped the ball numerous times in filing the probate in Illinois, we finally hired another lawyer, had the property relisted and it sold WITHOUT going through probate. Jennifer cost us thousands of dollars and I would never recommend her to anyone.
