Ashley Davis appointed as guardian ad litem. Ashley unethically ran up billable hours. Illinois, Is one of several states that does not have a cap on guardian ad litem fees. That needs to be fixed. She inserted herself into everything in the case, including after her recommendation. Her recommendation wasn't needed. Ashley's further involvement only ran up billable hours, with no other purpose applied. Overwhelming evidence along with child testimonials forced Ashley to make a decision of sticking with the status quo. Her decision was welcomed yet surprising due to her coercion of the children during their interview. Ashley actually went on defense for the other parent. Other parent was neglectful and abusive and has since abandoned the children. It is a known rule from the Illinois state bench, not to put the primary care giver under duress. Ashley does not follow this rule. Putting the primary care giver under duress, harms the children. Ashley cares about her pocket book and not the children.

Called & asked for help on a family law case. I have sufficient retainer to go forward. Unfortunately they said No! No explanation, No referral, Very Unprofessional..

Unethical, unprofessional, a piece of @!it, That is Ashley Davis. Also she does not disclose her relationship to Brown, Hay, and Stevens law firm. Instead she participates in ex parte communication and then lies when called out.

I’m not an attorney nor do I fully understand legal terms. I called to simply ask a question and was treated like absolute trash by the receptionist. I have never felt so awful after getting off a brief phone call with someone as I did with her. I would never ever use this law firm.

Hello, I called this attorney specifically attorney Kelly Gordon on three separate occasions perhaps even more seeking consultation and possible representation on a child support case in Sangamon county. First each and every time I place a call the secretary is so nasty and so rude it’s hard to even get to her voicemail however I managed and left several voicemails and have not received one phone call back. I placed a final call today to find out if she was just that busy or just that rude and unprofessional and I found out the latter the secretary hung up on me first time I called I’m sure they have caller ID I don’t block my number and I’m calling from the same number I’ve always called from she one picked up and slammed the phone down. I insisted and called back she picked up with the nastiest of attitudes I’ve ever experienced and said Kelly’s in a meeting do you want her voicemail?? Wow I would advise all people of color and those on the side of courtesy and professionalism to steer clear of this law firm they’re rude and unprofessional and are certainly not a equal opportunity service.

Worse decision to hire this firm. Made a stressful situation even more stressful. Not helpful. Antagonist. Unprofessional by not responding to correspondence. Worse experience!!! I do not recommend this firm.
