Here's how you deal with these guys. First, own your debt. It can be scary but seriously, just acknowledge it's yours.
Secondly, once you acknowledge the debt, send them a good faith payment of like $50, with a note that says "Acceptance of these funds constitutes a written agreement that I will send $50 a month toward this debt." Advise them that you'll communicate only through US postal mail. Always send your payment via money order, so they do not have access to your bank info.
Remember that once your debt gets to Blitt and Gaines, it's purely profit for Blitt and Gaines, and they do not care that you're sending a paltry little amount each month, as long as you're sending *something.* If you create a written agreement, they will not be able to take you to court, which they *can* do if you ignore their letters. Send them jokes and stickers with your payments, too. They strive to resolve debts amicably and there are few things more amicable than jokes and stickers.
Seriously, pull your britches up and acknowledge your debt. It's nice to stay out of court yet minimally affect your finances.

This company fraudulently served documents at the wrong address and was able to advance a case through the court leading to an unnecessary garnishment. Additionally, when I told them I didn’t live at the address, they served the documents at the time the documents were served, I placed a complaint that they found to be “invalid.” I requested additional info be sent to the email that I verified and they proceeded to send that information to that same address even though I requested that the address be removed from my account because it was invalid. They lied about being unable to send documents via email but then sent a set of incomplete information via email. It’s unfortunate that they get away with situations like this because few lawyers pursue these types of cases. I contacted an attorney and really hope that justice will be served.

I have called these people so many times about the court location try to work with them but then incompetence of these people makes my head hurt like you’re supposed to be helping people but instead they are thieves , lack compassion and don’t listen: I’m over it. If you buy someone’s debt don’t use these people to get your money just work with the person you’re wanting money from. Save you and the customer the stress and time .

I am a big believer in trusting reviews and as you can see this company has 1.5 stars and I can assure you that they definitely earn that 1.5 star , in fact if I could I could give them - negative stars. So where do I start. So they went ahead took a bank garnishment without notice, it was my debt and I took responsibility it is what it is. They took the full amount so when I contacted them and said the full amount has been garnished , and that I would like a certified letter that my account has been paid in full. They claim they cannot do that because they haven’t received the money and that I have to contact my bank. I then contacted my bank and my bank said that yes that money was sent and that it was received. So then I called them back and they said well you have to call the bank they don’t have it. So basically I have $2,300 taken out of my account and it’s floating around somewhere? Doesn’t make much sense does it. I then proceed to
tell the employee that I am concerned because, so many reviews have the same problem and that people have paid the full amount yet their bank are still getting garnished. She started to have an attitude with me and I also mentioned that the reviews also stated that their employees had attitudes and then she proceeded to say you’re just mad because your bank has been garnished. Like wow really lady. Very unprofessional. I also call them another time and I said that this phone call was going to be recorded and she stopped me right there she said we don’t allow our calls to be recorded, yet they are able to record us , but we aren’t able to record them , gee I wonder why. So I’m leaving this review for everyone to see that on January 31, 2023 I made a phone call and let them know that my account has been paid in full , and if any more garnishments are taken out of my bank they are illegally doing so and are stealing from me. I hope this company is exposed for their unethical practices. I hope Anyone who reads this has better luck with them and keep fighting the good love.

I was treated differently than other employees by this company by a certain 2 managers. It’s sad how they treated me this way. I do not recommend working here. I shouldn’t have applied seeing they’re already rated a 1 star company.
