I was very fortunate to have met Mark 18 years ago and have used his services on more than a few occasions , First and foremost he is a very compassionate individual that listens to detail and retains the information your willing to provide him with from the word go ! Then he will spend as much time that's needed to explain the law and his outlook on how your case will be handled within the court system good or bad before he even starts to discuss any cost/fees. I'm a small business owner and my license is my livelihood , He has performed miracles for me in the court room that plain and simply shocked him more than me I think even after he had prepped me for the worst on more than one occasion . I was recently arrested and charged with a DUI. If I was to be found guilty and then convicted this would be my second DUI in 21 years. Needless to say I was very afraid of what was going to happen me. Lose my license, fines, jail time and loss of my job. I was arrested for a DUI. Mark was very understanding and through a lot of hard work he was able to win my case for me. He provided me with great legal advice and helped me through a horrifying experience. He always returned my calls in a timely fashion. I would recommended him. Actually, I have a friend that has a bit of a lead foot, and after referring him to Mark my buddy was able to keep his license. He does it all, tickets to DUI's and everything in between. While in court (which for my DUI case was 5 court dates) I saw many other defense attorney's defend their clients and I wouldn't want anyone else. He puts up a valiant fight for everyone of his clients. He had another client's hearing that I witnessed. In 2009 I was arrested by South Elgin police for possession of drugs. The judge found that the search of my car was illegal and the charges were dismissed. He kept me informed and fee was reasonable.

Uteg handled 2 seperate arrests for DUI, one in Kane County and one in Cook. I was found not guilty after trial in Kane. In Cook the judge found no probable cause to arrest and all charges were dismissed. He also beat the suspension of my drivers license in both cases.
