I went through a very difficult divorce that lasted over two years and I don’t know how I would have gotten through it without Henry Kass. He’s very knowledgeable about divorce and family law and led me in the right direction concerning every decision. He won all our motions in court, issues outside of court, and won a very favorable outcome for me. My ex-husband told a friend he wished he would have retained Henry for himself.
I think Henry’s best assets are he’s ethical, trustworthy, caring, and a good communicator. He explained complex legal and financial issues in a clear way that I could understand. He’s very good at returning phone calls and emails in a timely manner and I never felt out of touch with him.
I couldn’t have gotten a better lawyer to help me through this difficult time and I would highly recommend him.

It's been six years since I exited domestic violence. I backed down in a previous divorce attempt in 2012, because I was afraid of losing my kids. I didn't have the funds to proceed with a custody trial. Lynn Mirabella was lying, according to my kids. She stated they indicated a preference to live with their dad, which my children disputed. My ex-husband blamed the county and said it wasn't him that was looking to take custody away from me, but the county itself. My daughter wanted to give a written statement and speak to the judge in 2012. I asked for a new GAL to be assigned to my case and my attorney would not go that route. She instead wanted $5000 for a second opinion to the GAL's, in addition to retainer for the custody trial. Where was the fairness in that? I was a victim of domestic violence that had left several employers from sexual harassment, linked to stalking and surveillance the entire county denied. I'm a survivor of child abuse and sexual assault. I have PTSD. I'd spent several years volunteering in the community and working with kids. I'm a good person. I was crushed. My kids were my life. I'm compassionate, kind, honest, and go out of my way to look after others. This was the pressure cooker I was placed in, back in 2012 to back down on my allegations against Boyd Farmer. The county and police wanted me to change my story. Judge Wolf highlighted my divorce case in 2011 and suggested I reconsider and think things through, during a hearing on a stalking order Boyd had filed against me. I never stalked him and they all knew it. Boyd threatened there would be more. I often reflect in disbelief the lengths that people would go to avoid responsibility for something they've done. All of it matches common forms of harassment by stalkers and escalating violence. I tried often to cut ties with him, and simply walk away, but everyone denied he had access to me, my home, family or was conducting surveillance on me. I was forced to live with a set of very inhumane and demeaning conditions no one else had to live with. It was dehumanizing in every respect. I returned to domestic violence instead of changing my story, although recall interjecting doubt that it was Boyd it began with, simply to bring things to an end. He set out to break up my family and marriage and succeeded in doing so, by turning my ex-husband against me. A psychologist commented on it and he saw what was going on when no one else did. I can't comprehend how someone can have such liberal access to a woman's life, her home, family, daily activities, etc. No vacation was private. It was a path of destruction. It happened in front of so many people and all did nothing. If it happened to them, would it matter more? If I had died the night I attempted suicide in 2010 would there have been more concern? The big lie that has stretched across America. Everyone knew what I'd been through. The marital rapes, the bribe my ex-husband paid that went to a judge. It was brutal. It was human torture. My step-father shot himself in response to my testimony on domestic violence. He never would have gone along with something he knew would become so tragically hurtful to me. Integrity matters to me.

I never anticipated my life to include a bitter and unpleasant divorce…add children to the equation and it can become a devastating “storm”. My philosophy in life…”No storm lasts FOREVER”!! This was proven to be an accurate statement through the expertise of Lynn Mirabella. I met Lynn in 2012…a few months before my divorce became final. I didn’t seek her or Mirabella & Kincaid,LLC our Judge appointed her. WOW!!! I had started this long journey in November of 2011 and couldn’t fathom the proceedings lasting another day. However, my children are my biggest blessing and definitely did not deserve to have anything but their BEST interests put before our final judgment was entered. Lynn exemplifies the highest level of moral and ethical standards that I have ever interfaced with throughout my journey in life. She listens to both parties and truly seeks the BEST for your child (ren). I could not have handpicked better representation inside the courtroom or while faced with delicate conferences that included my ex husband. Lynn always demonstrated a neutral demeanor that was coupled with empathy and kindness for both parents. The unified collaborative approach definitely eased tension and provided the ability to reconcile differences even if we were not 100% in favor of final decisions. After all, her primary focus was the bEST interest of our children :) I recall one of Lynn’s statements that she made while attending a conference at her office that included my ex husband and a parenting agreement…her advice to us…”My hope is that the two of you can place this agreement in a drawer and co –parent your children together amicably". My last five years have had additional obstacles with my health as well as more mediation with Lynn. I wouldn’t choose my circumstances again…I would ABSOLUTELY choose Lynn Mirabella again!!!!! Lynn Mirabella and the entire Mirabella & Kincaid Law Firm provide a strong foundation of professionalism, high standards, loyalty and so much more that truly guides you through your temporary storm!!

Mrs. Mirabella is the smartest attorney I've ever encountered in my
life. She is a fighter for justice and there is no one I'd rather have on my side than her. The thought of having her against me in a divorce or child custody situation evokes fear through me. She cost more than others but to put a price tag on my children is something I would never do in this lifetime. Thank you Mrs. Mirabella for the rest of my life.
